Raytheon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for factory production support. The individual must be self-motivated and will work with a cross functional team including engineering, factory management, program management, and operations assembly and test. This position will be in the Manufacturing Engineering department.
What You Will Do
- Evaluate test results of complex assemblies and determining root cause of failures
- Work closely with multiple functions such as manufacturing engineering, factory operations, and quality engineers to develop improvements in areas like yields, test procedures, cycle time, etc.
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting systems failing test, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
- Investigate failure trends, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address systemic issues
- Support troubleshooting and repairs for circuit card assemblies (CCAs), sub-assemblies, systems, and test equipment for programs at McKinney CMC Develop and maintain troubleshooting aids, tools, and documentation to support production and test processes
- Work initiatives focused on reducing cycle time, minimizing touch time, and optimizing overall production costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges in production
- Operate and utilize standard electrical equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, etc.) to support troubleshooting and system
- This will be a first-shift role, with core hours from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday with an optional 9/80 schedule.
- Occasional weekend work may be required to support factory operations
Qualifications Must Haves
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
- Experience with standard electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), sub-assemblies, and complex systems
- Experience reading mechanical drawings or electrical schematics
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in electrical engineering, specifically supporting Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) and/or Radio Frequency (RF) products in a production environment
- Experience with common circuit components, such as Op-Amps, Multiplexers, H-bridges, ADC/DACs
- Experience designing experiments to troubleshoot failures or investigate production issues such as Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
- Experience reading and interpreting memory maps and datasheets
- Experience in data analysis to identify trends and recommend improvement opportunities

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
