The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors department within the Space and Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC) Center seeks a talented Systems Engineer II. Our team integrates hardware and software, develops test plans and procedures, debugs and evaluates system functions and interfaces, and verifies system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts. This position is an onsite role in McKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do

  • Support radar and/or electronic warfare programs across the full product lifecycle, including requirements development, engineering testing, system integration, flight testing, production, system deployment, and post‑deployment support
  • Apply Digital Transformation (DTx) principles and tools to execute integration and test activities using modern methods and enabling technologies
  • Utilize approaches such as Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development to enhance efficiency, traceability, and mission readiness throughout the engineering process
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate system performance, resolve technical issues, and ensure successful system delivery and sustainment.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience with radar or RF systems experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active Secret clearance with investigation within five years
  • Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
  • RF test equipment, microwave engineering principles, and antenna theory
  • MBSE and tools

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
