Job Description: Fulfill the classroom duties of the ELA & SS Teacher / Grade 6 from approximately November 22, 2026 through March 5, 2027 to cover the leave of absence for teacher. Key Responsibilities;: Maintain Order: Enforce school policies, classroom rules, and procedures to keep the learning environment structured and productive. Student Safety: Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom, or playground, and know emergency procedures (fire drills, etc.). Attendance: Take accurate attendance at the start of each period or day according to school guidelines. Follow Lesson Plans: Carry out the daily schedule and instructions left by the permanent teacher. Guide Learning: Present content, answer student questions, assign classwork, and facilitate discussions or activities. Adapt when Necessary: Be prepared with backup activities or age-appropriate educational content if lesson plans are incomplete or finish early. Leave Notes for the Regular Teacher: Write a summary of the day, noting completed tasks. Professional Conduct: Keep student information confidential and maintain professional relationships with administrators, staff, and parents. Collect & Organize Student Work: Gather completed assignments and leave them organized for the returning teacher to grade. QUALIFICATIONS: Massachusetts Educator Licensure in English 5-8, preferred Massachusetts Educator Licensure in History 5-8, preferred Experience working with middle school children with/without disabilities, preferred Patience, flexibility and a positive attitude

DATES: Approximately November 22, 2026 through March 5, 2027 to cover a leave of absence.

Salary: $100 per day / $125 per day after 21st day
