Summary The Senior Analyst, East Coast SCM, is responsible for handling and coordinating assigned inbound/outbound transportation operations for automotive parts to U.S. manufacturing plants, including Hyundai/Kia affiliated suppliers. This role handles complex operational issues, coordinates urgent shipments, monitors carrier performance, chassis availability and utilization, and weather or other transportation disruptions, and supports customer issue resolution. The Senior Analyst coordinates contract requirements for assigned customers, provides backup coverage for key operations, and supports air freight shipment coordination as needed. The Senior Analyst also performs advanced settlement activities, including AR/AP reconciliation, accrual preparation and monitoring, month-end closing, settlement discrepancy resolution, and preparation of financial and operational reports. This position identifies operational and settlement issues and supports process improvement initiatives. 24/7 customer escalation support, business continuity assistance, operational coverage, and emergency logistics response may be required, depending on the circumstances. Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation operations for automotive parts shipments to U.S. manufacturing plants and Hyundai/Kia affiliated suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and service continuity. Monitor transportation activity and shipment status, proactively addressing delays, disruptions, and service exceptions to minimize operational impact. Manage urgent and expedited shipment requirements by coordinating with carriers, customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to meet critical delivery timelines. Review and evaluate carrier performance metrics, service levels, and operational compliance, recommending corrective actions when service expectations are not achieved. Serve as a key point of contact for transportation-related customer issues, coordinating investigations and implementing timely resolutions to support customer satisfaction. Perform transportation settlement activities including freight invoice validation, accounts receivable and accounts payable reconciliation, and settlement discrepancy resolution. Prepare and monitor transportation-related accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company financial reporting requirements. Execute month-end closing activities related to transportation operations, settlements, and financial transactions within established deadlines. Analyze settlement and operational data to identify billing discrepancies, cost variances, process gaps, and performance trends requiring corrective action. Prepare recurring and ad hoc operational, financial, and performance reports to support business decision-making and management visibility. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, accounting, customers, suppliers, and carriers to ensure accurate information flow and effective issue resolution. Identify and support implementation of process improvements that enhance transportation efficiency, settlement accuracy, reporting effectiveness, and customer service performance.
Additional Responsibilities
Up to 10% travel Assist with transportation audits, documentation reviews, and compliance-related inquiries. Provide training, guidance, and subject matter expertise to team members on transportation operations and settlement processes. Support special projects, system enhancements, and management initiatives related to supply chain and transportation operations.

Education & Experience Required Qualifications
H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. 1-2 years of Supply Chain and/or Logistics experience
