GM Performance Power Units - Concord, NC Microsoft 365 SharePoint Intern - Onsite Date of Internship: Summer 2027 Job Summary: GM Performance Power Units is seeking a Microsoft 365 SharePoint Intern to join our IT team. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting our Microsoft 365 environment, with a primary focus on SharePoint Online, collaboration tools, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, brings strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining practical experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, cloud technologies, and IT administration. Key Responsibilities
Assist with the administration and support of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, and OneDrive. Support the creation and maintenance of SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, permissions, and content. Work with internal stakeholders to help organize, upload, and maintain SharePoint content using established best practices. Assist with user access, roles, permissions, and Microsoft 365 license management. Help monitor system performance, conduct routine audits, and document findings. Assist with developing and improving automated workflows and business solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps. Help troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and SharePoint-related issues while learning IT support best practices. Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, diagrams, and user training materials. Additional tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field. Interest in Microsoft 365 technologies, particularly SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform. Basic understanding of IT systems, cloud technologies, or collaboration platforms through coursework, projects, or previous experience. Interest in learning Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerShell, and other Microsoft technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Collaboration: Works effectively with internal teams and external partners. Adaptability: Responds effectively to evolving business needs and opportunities. Growth mindset Ability to handle multiple projects independently
Preferred Qualifications
Previous coursework, projects, or internship experience involving Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, or other cloud technologies. Familiarity with Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerShell, or similar automation tools. Basic understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, or compliance concepts. Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS through coursework, personal projects, or previous work experience.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move in diverse operational environments, including race shops, arenas, and commercial facilities. Comfortable working in variable environmental conditions, including loud, high-traffic, or high-pressure environments.
