ACCOUNTANT (RE-ADVERTISED)

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ACCOUNTANT will be responsible for assisting in making financial decisions by collecting, tracking, correcting, and communicating the company's financial position. The Accountant will keep track of transactions, compile and analyze data, conduct audits, assist with budgeting and financial forecasting, compute taxes, and report their findings to management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of payroll
  • Record, compile and analyze the company's transactions
  • Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Computation of taxes
  • Assist with the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Create and update expense reports
  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases
  • Check spreadsheets for accuracy
  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed

Education & Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Accounting, Professional qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an accountant
  • Member of a professional accounting body
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Must be between the ages of 40-50 years
  • Women are strongly encouraged to apply
