  1. PROCUREMENT OFFICER

The PROCUREMENT OFFICER will assist in the purchase of raw materials for the plant facilities in line with the company's procurement policies in a cost-effective manner

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Source new suppliers for raw materials.
  • Perform due diligence for new suppliers.
  • Be liaison between local suppliers and Chinese supervisors.
  • To be part of the team that receives Bags and Raw materials.
  • Send out demand orders to the suppliers.
  • Send out statements, receive invoice from suppliers.
  • Send out and receive contracts from suppliers.
  • Holding meetings with both new and old suppliers.
  • Expedite deliveries of raw materials.
  • Follow up performance of existing suppliers.
  • Be part of a bidding process each year for contracts renewal for suppliers.
  • Receiving samples and take to the lab for testing.
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or equivalent in business management, logistics, procurement or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience
  • In-depth understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
  • Sound knowledge of the company's product and service offerings.
  • Excellent knowledge of the principles and methodologies of supply chain/ logistics management.
  • Very good knowledge of existing laws and regulations governing exportation/ importation and general transportation within the area of operation.
  • Excellent numerical skills and ability to manage measurement systems.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • Good communication, negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Very good relationship management skills.
  • Very good analytical skills.

SALARY RANGE: K7,000.00 - K7,500.00 Gross Pay

2.TRUCK DRIVER

The TRUCK DRIVER will transport company products in line with the distribution plan in the regional and local areas in a cost-effective manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Duties and Transport company products in accordance with the distributions schedules provided by the Logistics Officer signed off by the Head Logistics.
  • Maintain a drivers movement log and provide guidance to drivers on how to keep accurate records.
  • Ensure that vehicle (and drivers) logbooks are properly maintained for input into vehicle management system and/ or monthly payroll.
  • Review and have signed on periodic truck fueling requests, in line with approved provisions.
  • Remind the Logistics Officer routine servicing, repair of the truck as required, and maintain relevant documentations.
  • Document details of accident occurrences and report to Logistics Officer.
  • Develop and maintain a log for monitoring and tracking the itinerary of trucks to ensure optimal use.
  • Check that vehicle licensing, renewals and other statutory registrations (e.g., road permits) are in order before using the vehicle.
  • Maintain fuel records of vehicles in the plant to check and prevent fraud and ensure optimal usage.
  • Maintain and track records of fuel usage costs for all movements.
  • Communicate and forward information regarding vehicle requirements to the Logistics Officer and Head of Logistics
  • Perform periodic vehicle inspection, report incidences and provide recommendations to Logistics Officer and Head of Logistics.
  • Prepare and submit monthly report of fleet activities to the Head of department
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the departmental leadership when required.

Education & Experience

  • Grade Twelve (12) Certificate or extensive knowledge of driving
  • An experience of at least one (2) year driving with knowledge of auto mechanics.
  • A good geographical knowledge of Zambia.
  • A valid document for driving in the sub-region, a PSV-CE driver's license, a recent certificate of fitness proving that you are fit to drive.
  • A training certificate on first aid would be an asset.
  • An experience working in cement plant would be an advantage.

SALARY RANGE: K4,500.00 - K5,000.00 Gross Pay

3.SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The SALES REPRESENTATIVE will implement the sales and marketing strategy for the Company's products to ensure achievement of assigned sales targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all necessary sales administration tasks associated with selling the company's products (Cement) carried out in an efficient, expedient and professional manner and in accordance with Company policies.
  • Lobby and generate a full range of administrative support to assist with the sales success of the company including managing schedules, creating sales proposals and pitch documents, and generating reports related to sales activities and revenue data.
  • Develop strong and competitive marketing strategies that will have a repeat of customers.
  • Plan meetings and ensure that sales staff in the field are in contact with the Sales Manager.
  • Coordinate communication of all customer-related issues to the Sales Manager to ensure seamless flow of information.
  • Track customer sales and provide analysis for the purposes of forecasting, trending, presentations, accruals, rebates and internal reporting.
  • Ensure all regional/area sales records are kept up-to-date and accurate.
  • Ensure customer enquiries, feedbacks, complaints are handled appropriately.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Sales Manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree or its equivalent in business or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience.
  • Basic understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
  • Good knowledge of the company's product and service offerings.
  • Strong administration skills organized, thorough, and able to effectively leverage technology with attention to detail.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Word and Excel

SALARY RANGE: K4,500.00 - K5,000.00 Gross Pay
