Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily laboratory service operations, including equipment repair, calibration, optical alignment, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of service engineers and technicians, ensuring effective work allocation, technical training, and performance development.
  • Ensure service quality and operational efficiency by monitoring key KPIs, including turnaround time (TAT), first-time fix rate (FTFR), and customer satisfaction (CSAT).
  • Provide technical expertise and support for complex equipment issues, customer enquiries, and escalated service cases.
  • Coordinate with headquarters, OEM specialists, and regional service centres across Southeast Asia and India on technical support, training, audits, and service improvements.
  • Manage calibration tools, reference standards, spare parts inventory, and service documentation to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, safety procedures, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements where applicable, and established SOPs.
  • Coordinate regional equipment shipments, import/export documentation, and logistics arrangements for repairs and returns.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in equipment servicing, troubleshooting, repair, or calibration.
  • Experience with optical measurement instruments, spectrophotometers, colorimeters, photometers, radiometers, display analysers, or similar scientific testing equipment is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of optical measurement principles, calibration methodologies, and laboratory quality standards, including ISO/IEC 17025.
