The posting

Product Regulatory Analyst – Financial Markets Venture

Location: Muscat, Oman

Goodman Masson is partnering with a new financial markets venture under formation in Oman. Backed by prominent institutional investors, the business is building its operations from the ground up and is now hiring during the build phase.

This is an opportunity to join at an early stage and help ensure that products, services and operating frameworks are aligned with applicable regulations, the company’s rule book and participant agreements.

The Role

The Product Regulatory Analyst will work closely with Product Development to review new and existing product features, identify regulatory gaps and recommend practical solutions before products or changes are launched.

The role will also support engagement with the regulator, including contributing to the development of regulations where the company’s services are not yet covered by an established framework. You will work collaboratively with product, legal, compliance, risk and operations teams to support strong regulatory governance as the business develops.

What You’ll Do

  • Review product features against applicable regulations, the company’s rule book and participant agreements.
  • Identify, document and assess compliance gaps, recommending practical remediation actions to product teams and management.
  • Support Product Development in working with the regulator to help draft regulations where existing frameworks do not yet cover the company’s services.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on current and planned products.
  • Maintain clear records of regulatory reviews, findings, recommendations and agreed actions to support audit and governance requirements.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to resolve regulatory matters and escalate material compliance gaps or risks appropriately.
  • Contribute to the development of robust regulatory processes and documentation as the venture grows.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in regulatory compliance, legal or product-related roles, ideally within financial services or payments.
  • A sound understanding of financial services regulation, rule books, participant agreements and product lifecycle processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and identify gaps or potential risks.
  • Excellent drafting, documentation and communication skills, with close attention to detail.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with product teams and other stakeholders.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting regulatory engagement or contributing to regulatory or policy drafting.
  • A recognised qualification in compliance, regulation or risk management.
  • Proficiency in Arabic.
  • Experience working in a developing or evolving regulatory environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
