This is your opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, global environment, surrounded by forward-thinking peers.

Responsible for conflicts clearance review and analysis of new business, working directly with the Director, Business Intake & Conflicts – Europe & Asia, as well as with attorneys and the London AML and GC teams, to identify and resolve potential legal and commercial conflicts and confidential information issues. This position requires strong knowledge of the SRA rules of professional conduct, commercial awareness, knowledge of firm policies and sound analysis of potential conflict issues.

What You Will Do:

  • Use IntApp Conflicts software and third party corporate ownership databases to create and run conflicts searches on new business and updates to existing business.
  • Provide a thorough analysis of conflicts search results, identifying potential legal and commercial conflicts and confidential information issues.
  • Prepare communications to the requesting lawyers which clearly explain potential issues found in conflict search and suggest potential workarounds and/or resolutions.
  • When necessary, draft escalation emails to senior stakeholders in the UK, US and Europe.
  • Run conflict checks on lateral hires at Partner and Counsel level.
  • Assist lawyers and professional staff to draft engagement and waiver letters.
  • Identify the need for ethical walls / information barriers, then use IntApp Walls to implement them.
  • Maintain knowledge of developments in professional conduct law and regulations, as well as trends and new technologies impacting the Conflicts Team.
  • Assist with ensuring that engagement letters are sent to clients when needed.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Experience with law firm conflicts and/or new business department preferred.
  • Prior experience using IntApp Conflicts and/or Walls systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with a broad range of people in a professional manner.
  • Strong research skills; strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use initiative and judgment to accomplish results.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; work under pressure and complete job assignments in an accurate and timely manner; respond appropriately to shifting demands.
  • Work independently, but able to escalate and communicate issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Able to maintain professional composure in challenging or difficult situations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
