We are committed to building a high-performing team that is thoroughly engaged in achieving service excellence to exceed our guests' expectations.

To continue the legacy of Goodwood Park, we are looking for dynamic and committed candidates to join our Engineer Department.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, your job responsibilities include, but not limited to:-

Responsibilities

  • Plan duty rosters, monitor technician punctuality, and arrange shift coverage during staff absences.
  • Lead daily team briefing to distribute daily tasks and align the shift crew.
  • Serve as the section head in the absence of the Director of Engineering (DOE) and Chief Engineer (CE). Stand in for the Maintenance Officer or Maintenance Manager when needed.
  • Plan and direct the preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Assist DOE and CE to co-ordinates the annual in-house maintenance programme.
  • Assist DOE and CE to oversee mechanical and electrical testing or commissioning as and when necessary.
  • Assist DOE and CE to co-ordinate with other departments regarding maintenance and administration matters, including their budget plan for new/replacement of equipment, renovation, etc.
  • Coach and guide staff and contractors to ensure that they are familiar and comply with the hotel standards in performing maintenance activities.
  • Train staff on proper use and periodic maintenance of all equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance staff are wearing proper uniform with name tag and upholds hotel’s grooming and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure hotel and work areas are maintained to standard and that all safety equipment. and conditions are to code.
  • Ensure proper records are kept relating to the hotel including repair and service records.
  • Prepare reports as required by the Director of Engineering, Chief Engineer and Management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel engineering operations, with at least 2-3 years in a in similar capacity.
  • At least a Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services or equivalent.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and good leadership skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
