About the job

As a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you will engage externally and internally on behalf of Google. You will have strong investigative, organizational, and communication skills to manage multiple projects and respond to policy challenges effectively. You will be part of a global government affairs team, working across regions, product areas, and functions. You will combine creativity and intellectual excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects and initiatives.

In this role, you will advocate for Google to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction. You will be passionate about the opportunity to shape the future of how we use and build technology for everyone.

Google takes its responsibilities seriously, including engaging with government and other stakeholders on important public policy challenges. The Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) team leads the company’s engagement with executive branch officials, legislators, regulators and third-parties in the formation of public policy. Working closely with Google leaders, GAPP seeks to identify key policy issues, listen carefully to others’ views and opinions, and distill and share the company’s perspective on those issues with external stakeholders. While we focus on challenges affecting the internet, our issue areas are increasingly broad and encompass many areas where public policy, business, and technology intersect.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Legal, Marketing, Trust and Safety, and PR and other cross functional and business teams to integrate public policy priorities directly into product development and regional launches and execute local programs.
  • Represent Google before policymakers, industry peers, and key opinion formers to shape emerging dialogue on responsible technology policy.
  • Monitor, research, and analyze regional policy issues; design and execute comprehensive advocacy campaigns with clear, actionable goals.
  • Identify emerging legislative trends, evaluate their potential impact on Google’s users and business, and craft proactive solutions.
  • Support the development and execution of policy strategies in the country, working closely with more senior policy colleagues.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
