Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with coding and scripting (e.g. Perl, TCL, or Python), or similar.
Preferred qualifications:
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience building developer tools that improve developer velocity, code quality and code health (e.g., compilers, automated).
- 1 year of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.

As a CAD Engineer, you will drive the architecture, development, and optimization of hardware design flows and infrastructure. You will collaborate with silicon design, verification, and architecture teams to build robust front-end CAD tooling, automated workflows and continuous integration/presubmit frameworks. In this role, you will address complex hardware design technology challenges, streamline CAD workflows for high-impact silicon projects, and ensure high quality and scalability across global engineering teams.

Responsibilities
- Work with partner teams to provide the compute, storage and methodology needs of the chip design, verification and physical design teams.
- Design and implement CAD tools, solutions and methodologies for ASIC development.
- Create software solutions that improve the hardware design process through automation.
- Propose, design and implement software automation that directly addresses bottlenecks in today's ASIC and SoC EDA flow.
- Leverage AI to both speed the development of tools and development flows, providing more natural and higher-efficiency ways for users to interact with developed technologies.
