About the job

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a part of the Retail and Payments Activation (RPA) team, you will drive New Paying Users and revenue growth by bringing Google Play to life in physical retail and digital payment channels. Your team will oversee the infrastructure and partnerships behind Google Play Gift Cards and payment method integrations across thousands of points of distribution.

As a Retail Partner Manager, you will work with the biggest retailers, digital gaming websites and payment partners to help drive higher levels of user engagement and ultimately spend on locally relevant content. You will work closely not just with these external partners, but also across the Play cross-functional teams. You will balance multiple priorities, including discussing, developing and executing marketing plans, working with internal and external partners, and analyzing data to inform strategic decisions.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, setting the strategy for your portfolio, securing partner investment, and running scalable marketing campaigns in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The ideal applicant has both analytical and relationship-building skills, meticulous attention to detail, and is able to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly-growing business.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate flexibly across Retail, Payments and Digital Gifting portfolio of business, manage relationships with major retailers or payment providers, and build and execute successful long-term business relationships and growth strategies.
  • Act as the "business owner" for your portfolio, develop business cases, identify market opportunities/constraints, and prioritize activations that drive Play revenue and New Paying Users (NPU) growth.
  • Secure partner marketing investments and execute campaigns that leverage partner surfaces (in-store, digital channels) to promote Google Play content, apps, and games.
  • Collaborate with RPA BizOps (forecasting, logistics), R&P Marketing (campaign strategy), and Play Business Development (developer content) to launch high-impact campaigns.
  • Measure campaign Return on Investment (ROI), analyze spend trends, establish baselines, and report outcomes to leadership to iterate on channel strategies.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
