About the job

When leading companies choose Google Cloud, it's a huge win for spreading the power of cloud computing globally. Once educational institutions, government agencies, and other businesses sign on to use Google Cloud products, you come in to facilitate making their work more productive, mobile, and collaborative. You listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As an Applied Solutions Architect within the Google Cloud Go-to-Market (GTM) team, you will act as the deep technical bridge between the customers business issues and Google’s engineering capabilities. You will work closely with customers to uncover their needs, architect scalable systems, and write code and build real-world applications. You will not be building in a vacuum. Your core objective is to engineer Proof of Value (PoV) products designed to integrate seamlessly into a customer’s existing, as-is systems. You will advocate for our cloud-native solutions to not only look great on a whiteboard but function flawlessly in their actual enterprise environment.

Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in depth technical discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and their current technology landscape. Design comprehensive system architectures and run iterative workshops with stakeholders to lock in project scope, always architecting with the final end-state in mind.
  • Move seamlessly from high-level architecture to low-level implementation. Code, build, and deploy cloud systems, ensuring technical designs translate into functional, integrated realities.
  • Architect and engineer enterprise-grade solutions such as agentic workflows, RAG systems, and applied foundation models backed by highly scalable, cloud-native infrastructure including event-driven microservices, containerized workloads, and serverless compute.
  • Engineer functional PoV products that integrate into the customer's as-is systems to demonstrate true business value. Ensure all builds adhere strictly to engineering best practices, security standards, and scalability guidelines to ensure a smooth transition to production.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
