About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Supply Chain Planning (SCP) organization's mission is to enable, accelerate, scale, and elevate data center infrastructure. This organization is responsible for accelerating Google's data center infrastructure growth and delivery through AI-powered supply chain planning for all Google product areas.

Within SCP, the Rack Planning Team owns direct operational accountability for physical rack-level infrastructure planning across Google’s global data center fleet. The team focuses on driving forecasting, demand and supply planning, execution capability/feasibility management, and software tool requirements for critical data center infrastructure.

As the Business Lead and Strategic Architect, you will partner with Planning, Engineering, Data Science, and Transformation teams to design, pilot, and institutionalize a next-generation, AI-driven forecasting model. You will hold end-to-end accountability for operationalizing this capability, aligning cross-functional stakeholders across the program lifecycle, and eliminating deployment stockouts across data center footprints.

This is an individual contributor role for an experienced Program Manager that requires high-level autonomy, technical competency (systems and hardware), strategic thought leadership, and the ability to influence cross-organizational leadership across engineering, capacity planning, supply chain, and operations.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Define business rules, model parameters, and algorithmic logic to build a first-of-its-kind, AI-driven, top-down forecasting model to support critical data center infrastructure hardware.
  • Partner with stakeholder teams to translate complex data center physical constraints, hardware roadmaps, and demand ambiguity into scalable, automated forecasting processes and software. Present program updates, process improvement proposals, and key findings to leadership.
  • Own delivery risk and operational metrics, drive continuous improvement methodologies, and design, implement, and institutionalize the end-to-end operational workflows, playbooks, and governance cadences.
  • Build, integrate, and optimize advanced planning systems and analytical tools.
  • Gather and own system requirements to assist engineering teams in designing and implementing advanced analytics, planning systems and ML/AI capabilities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
