About the job

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

As a TPM on this team, you will eliminate the lag between Google’s public product announcements and their deployment in global customer centers on-campus. Google regularly debuts breakthrough AI and hardware innovations at tentpole events like Google I/O and Cloud NEXT. Your mission is to develop and operationalize a scalable demo reuse model—building a proactive pipeline that transitions transient event showcases into permanent, scalable installations across the global experience portfolio.

You will partner with teams before a launch occurs to identify reuse opportunities and to ensure demos align with their long-term strategic goals to ensure alignment between design, development, integration, and reliability teams.

You will scale impact by developing processes, tooling, workflows, third-party services, and internal and external partnerships that enable the team to amplify impact, reduce cost, and improve speed of delivery.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with go-to-market and marketing teams ahead of major product launches to design and manage an end-to-end operational pipeline, facilitating the ingestion, re-engineering, and deployment of marquee event demos into permanent briefing centers globally.
  • Serve as the primary conduit bridging teams across the organization, driving seamless alignment between event technology, experience design, integration, operations, and platform engineering teams.
  • Direct and oversee external creative agencies, audiovisual integrators, and scenic fabricators to successfully convert temporary event stage properties into durable, enterprise-grade physical installations.
  • Establish operational readiness reviews and technical compliance rubrics to guarantee that all deployed experiences adhere to strict privacy, security, reliability, and serviceability standards.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics—including cycle-time reduction, cost savings, and asset reuse rates—to continuously optimize the deployment framework across global installations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
