The posting

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Product Management to lead the product teams responsible for the end-to-end client lifecycle across our digital insurance marketplace—from initial lead acquisition and partner distribution through ongoing service, renewal, and retention.

This role will lead Product Managers responsible for Lead Acquisition & Partnerships and Service & Retention, ensuring that these experiences operate as a connected product ecosystem rather than independent capabilities. The Senior Manager will establish product strategy, develop and coach product talent, align roadmaps across teams, and partner with senior leaders across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Service, Operations, and Data.

This is a player/coach leadership role requiring the ability to set strategy while remaining close enough to execution to help teams solve complex product and business problems.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

· Define the overarching product strategy for acquisition, lead management, client service, renewal, and retention.

· Establish a connected roadmap across the client lifecycle that aligns product investments with company growth and retention objectives.

· Identify opportunities to improve the movement of clients between digital, partner, and agent-assisted experiences.

· Balance investments across new growth capabilities, client experience improvements, operational efficiency, and platform scalability.

· Establish clear priorities and outcomes across multiple product teams.

Lead Acquisition & Partnerships

· Provide strategic leadership for product capabilities supporting lead capture, ingestion, enrichment, qualification, routing, and distribution.

· Guide development of technology capabilities supporting strategic distribution and lead-generation partnerships.

· Ensure acquisition investments improve lead quality, conversion, scalability, and partner performance.

· Partner with Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Data leadership to optimize the acquisition funnel.

Service, Renewal & Retention

· Lead product strategy for post-bind client experiences, including service, policy management, renewal, remarketing, and retention.

· Drive development of digital self-service capabilities while enabling seamless access to licensed service professionals when appropriate.

· Identify opportunities to use technology, automation, and data to improve client retention and service efficiency.

· Develop capabilities that enable proactive engagement based on client needs, renewal events, and retention risk.

End-to-End Client Lifecycle

· Connect acquisition and post-bind experiences to create a consistent client journey across the insurance lifecycle.

· Ensure client and policy data captured during acquisition can support downstream service, personalization, renewal, and retention experiences.

· Identify friction, handoff failures, and experience gaps across organizational boundaries.

· Establish shared lifecycle KPIs that encourage teams to optimize overall client value rather than individual transactions.

People Leadership & Product Management Excellence

· Lead, coach, and develop Product Managers across assigned domains.

· Establish clear expectations for product strategy, discovery, roadmapping, requirements, delivery, and measurement.

· Build strong product management practices and reinforce outcome-based product development.

· Provide hands-on coaching for complex initiatives, stakeholder challenges, and prioritization decisions.

· Support talent development, career planning, performance management, and hiring as the organization grows.

Cross-Functional Leadership

· Serve as the primary Product leader connecting acquisition and client lifecycle initiatives across business functions.

· Partner closely with Engineering and UX leadership to align product strategy with technology and experience strategy.

· Build strong relationships with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Service, Operations, Carrier Relations, and Data.

· Facilitate decisions where priorities or requirements span multiple business areas.

· Communicate strategy, roadmap, performance, risks, and investment needs to senior leadership.

Data & Performance Management

· Establish a measurement framework across the client lifecycle.

· Monitor KPIs including lead quality, quote starts, conversion, acquisition cost, digital adoption, service utilization, renewal, retention, cross-sell, and client lifetime value.

· Use analytics, experimentation, and client insights to inform investment decisions.

· Hold product teams accountable for measurable business and client outcomes rather than feature delivery alone.

Qualifications

· 8–12+ years of product management experience, including experience leading Product Managers or product teams.

· Demonstrated experience owning a significant product portfolio or multiple related product domains.

· Experience building customer-facing digital products, marketplaces, acquisition platforms, or lifecycle management capabilities.

· Strong understanding of digital funnels, customer lifecycle management, APIs, data integrations, experimentation, and platform capabilities.

· Demonstrated ability to translate company strategy into product strategy, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.

· Experience working across complex organizations with multiple business and technology stakeholders.

· Strong people leadership, coaching, executive communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

· Insurance, fintech, financial services, e-commerce, or another regulated/transaction-oriented industry experience preferred.

Key Competencies

· Portfolio and strategic product leadership

· People leadership and talent development

· Client lifecycle and journey thinking

· Data-driven decision-making

· Cross-functional influence

· Executive communication

· Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
