Medical Director

Location: Goodyear, AZ Work Setting: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $200,000 to $220,000 per year Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are hiring a Medical Director to oversee clinical operations and help maintain consistent standards of care across the practice. This position involves working with physicians, advanced practice providers, and administrative staff to address clinical concerns, review treatment practices, and support appropriate medical decisions. The Medical Director will also evaluate existing procedures, monitor patient safety concerns, and identify areas where clinical operations need improvement. The position requires an experienced physician who is comfortable providing clinical direction, working with different departments, and balancing medical responsibilities with the operational needs of a healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physician oversight for assigned medical services and clinical programs.
  • Review clinical workflows and recommend improvements to care delivery.
  • Advise healthcare providers on complex clinical matters requiring physician input.
  • Evaluate medical protocols for consistency with accepted standards of care.
  • Monitor quality indicators, safety concerns, and clinical outcomes.
  • Work with administrative leadership to address operational issues affecting patient care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, case reviews, and quality improvement activities.
  • Support compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and medical policies.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program.
  • Clinical experience appropriate to the healthcare setting.
  • Working knowledge of medical regulations, patient safety, and quality assurance.
  • Strong clinical judgment and professional communication skills.
