Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead room and cleaning operations, supervise a team of cleaners, and ensure exceptional cleanliness and service standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assign daily cleaning duties to cleaners to meet company standards
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules ensuring all areas are cleaned thoroughly
  • Inspect cleaning work regularly to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
  • Train new cleaning staff on cleaning methods, equipment use, chemical handling, and safety procedures
  • Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, uniform compliance, and work performance to optimize team efficiency
  • Maintain and ensure availability of cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies through regular checks and stock monitoring
  • Request cleaning materials proactively when supplies are low to avoid operational disruptions
  • Address and resolve complaints from clients, residents, or management with appropriate corrective actions
  • Coordinate cleaning requirements with management and other departments for seamless operations
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals to comply with safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate cleaning checklists, inspection reports, attendance records, and other documentation
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, hazards, or safety concerns promptly to relevant parties
  • Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on areas requiring improvement to uphold standards
  • Enforce workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations among cleaning staff
  • Assist with special cleaning projects, events, deep cleaning, and emergency cleaning as needed
  • Motivate and guide the cleaning team to achieve daily work targets and maintain high morale

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in housekeeping, room attendant operations, and cleaning services
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and coordinate daily manpower deployment
  • Knowledge of housekeeping, Public cleaning and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel or hospitality environment
  • Experience in Singapore’s hospitality or cleaning industry is advantageous
