Socijalni radnik/ca obavlja stručne poslove socijalnog rada vezane uz pružanje usluge privremenog smještaja beskućnika, odnosno osiguravanja kriznog smještaja; prati stanje analizira i poduzima mjere radi unaprjeđenja skrbi o beskućnicima, odnosno o osobama kojima je osiguran krizni smještaj; organizira, provodi i potiče različite oblike rada s beskućnicima i drugim socijalno osjetljivim skupinama; zaprima i rješavanja zahtjeve za privremeni smještaj u suradnji sa stručnim timom Prihvatilišta, odnosno Prenoćišta; prati razdoblja adaptacije i pomaže korisniku pri zadovoljavanju svakodnevnih potreba; pruža stručnu pomoć i potporu za socijalno uključivanje ili reintegraciju korisnika; daje prijedloge i mišljenja o korisniku nadležnom centru za socijalnu skrb; izrađuje, dopunjuje, provodi i evaluira individualne planove korisnika; priprema korisnike za primjenu drugih socijalnih usluga ili oblika pomoći; obavlja individualni i grupni rad s korisnicima u vezi reintegracije i socijalnog uključivanja; priprema korisnike za izlazak iz Prihvatilišta te otklanja poteškoće u prilagodbi za druge oblike skrbi; sudjeluje u pripremi i provedbi projekata i programa iz područja skrbi o beskućnicima, surađuje sa centrima za socijalnu skrb, javnim ustanovama, nadležnim državnim i lokalnim tijelima u rješavanju problema korisnika; surađuje s drugim pružateljima usluga zbrinjavanja socijalno ugroženih osoba; vodi propisane evidencije i dokumentacije o korisnicima; izrađuje izvješća, analiza, programa i planova rada u vezi beskućništva i Prihvatilišta, odnosno Prenoćišta; predlaže mjere za unapređenje rada Prihvatilišta, odnosno Prenoćišta za beskućnike; sudjeluje u poslovima, aktivnostima, programima i projektima drugih ustrojbenih jedinica u dijelu koji se odnosi na beskućnike ili osobe kojima se osigurava krizni smještaj; prati zakonske propise iz djelokruga svoga rada; sudjeluje u radu stručnih tijela Odjela i Gradskog društva Crvenog križa Zagreb u cilju utvrđivanja plana i programa rada i praćenja njegova ostvarivanja, raspravljanja i odlučivanja o stručnim pitanjima rada, poticanja i promicanja stručnog rada; obavlja druge stručne poslove utvrđene zakonom, aktom o osnivanju Prihvatilišta ili Prenoćišta odnosno Odlukom o osiguravanju kriznog smještaja, Statutom i prirodom posla; sudjeluje u pripremi, pisanju i provedbi programa i projekata financiranih iz sredstava Europske unije te drugih međunarodnih i državnih izvora financiranja.

Poslovi radnog mjesta obavljaju se u Prihvatilištu za beskućnike i krizni smještaj, Domovinska ulica 10, 10 410 Velika Kosnica. Ugovor o radu sklapa se na određeno vrijeme uz mogućnost trajnog zaposlenja.
