THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an SEO Manager to help grow traffic and visibility through traditional search and emerging AI-driven discovery experiences across Superhuman’s domain portfolio: Grammarly.com http://Grammarly.com, Superhuman.com http://Superhuman.com, GPTZero.me http://GPTZero.me, and Fathom.ai http://Fathom.ai.

Reporting to the Group Manager of SEO & AEO, you’ll work cross-functionally to build and execute a Search Everywhere Optimization strategy with a focus on one or more domains within our portfolio. You’ll partner closely with Growth Content, Product Marketing, Web, Engineering, Analytics, and other teams to identify opportunities, turn them into clear recommendations, and see the work through to launch and measurement.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone with a strong SEO foundation and curiosity about how search is changing. You should be comfortable moving from research and analysis to execution: improving pages and templates, diagnosing technical issues, shaping content opportunities, supporting launches, and using performance data to decide what to do next.

You will help us improve visibility across Google and other search engines while building our understanding of how people discover, evaluate, and cite our products in AI Overviews, answer engines, and AI assistants.

In This Role, You Will:

- Own SEO and AEO projects from identifying the opportunity through launch and measuring results.

- Research what people are searching for, what competitors are doing, and where we have the strongest opportunities to grow across content, products, and tools.

- Make recommendations for new and existing pages, from search intent and content structure to metadata, internal linking, and structured data.

- Work with Growth Content and Product Marketing to turn search insights into content briefs, editorial plans, new products and tools, and launch recommendations.

- Partner with Web and Engineering on technical SEO work, including crawlability, indexing, site structure, rendering, structured data, page speed, and internal linking.

- Track organic performance, understand what is driving changes in traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions, and new users, and recommend what to do next.

- Investigate SEO issues using tools like Google Search Console, analytics platforms, site crawls, release history, and competitive research.

- Help us learn how our content shows up in AI-driven search, including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other emerging platforms.

- Help build a practical way to measure visibility in AI search, including citations, brand mentions, sentiment, and business impact.

- Support offsite SEO work, including opportunities to earn relevant links, brand mentions, and third-party citations.

- Translate SEO insights into clear reporting and actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical partners. Present findings to stakeholders and leadership, and use evidence to influence product roadmaps and priorities.

- Keep up with changes in search and AI, and help the team decide which ones are worth acting on.

What You’ll Own:

You will drive SEO and AEO initiatives, taking responsibility for their execution and results.

This includes setting plans for your work, coordinating with partners, escalating risks or dependencies early, and using data to assess impact and improve the next iteration. You will contribute to team KPIs for organic visibility, qualified traffic, new active users, conversions, and AI search presence.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Has 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with a record of driving measurable organic growth.

- Has a well-rounded SEO foundation across on-page optimization, content strategy, technical SEO, and offsite authority.

- Can independently investigate an opportunity or problem, form a clear hypothesis, recommend a path forward, and execute with partners.

- Uses data to make decisions and can connect SEO performance to meaningful business outcomes, not rankings alone.

- Is comfortable with Google Search Console, Google Analytics or similar analytics tools, and leading SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or seoClarity.

- Understands core technical SEO concepts, including crawlability, indexation, canonicalization, site architecture, internal linking, structured data, and page performance.

- Has experience working closely with content, product marketing, web, engineering, design, analytics, or external partners.

- Communicates clearly and can explain SEO findings and recommendations to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge.

- Is organized and able to prioritize multiple workstreams with cross-functional dependencies across short- and medium-term timelines.

- Is curious about AI-driven search and eager to develop practical AEO expertise.

- Embodies Superhuman’s values and brings a high level of ownership, sound judgment, and follow-through.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with both B2C and B2B or product-led growth SEO.

- Experience working on a large, high-traffic website or a multi-domain portfolio.

- Experience with international SEO, including hreflang, localized content, and multi-market performance analysis.

- Experience supporting site migrations, redesigns, or major changes to site architecture.

- Experience with SEO experimentation, conversion-rate optimization, or using SEO insights to improve product and landing-page experiences.

- Experience building or improving scalable content systems, template-based pages, programmatic SEO, or internal linking frameworks.

- Familiarity with AI-search and AEO tracking tools, such as Profound, and with platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.

- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, or other technical skills that make collaboration with Web and Engineering teams easier.

- Experience with digital PR, link acquisition, or brand-mention and citation-building programs.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
