About Greenphyto
Greenphyto is a Singapore-based agri-technology company developing highly automated indoor vertical farming solutions. Our operations combine artificial intelligence, computer vision, robotics, environmental sensors, automation systems and farm-management software to improve crop yield, quality, traceability and operational efficiency.
We are looking for a Production Planner to plan and coordinate crop production schedules, capacity and resources across our commercial vertical farming operations.
Role Overview
The Production Planner will translate customer demand, crop recipes and available farm capacity into practical production plans covering seeding, transplanting, growth stages and harvest. The role ensures that Greenphyto’s growing systems are used efficiently and that the right quantity and quality of produce is available at the right time.
The role will focus on areas such as demand and capacity planning, crop-cycle scheduling, material and packaging planning, harvest-to-delivery coordination and production performance tracking. The successful candidate will work closely with the R&D team, farm operations, automation engineers, quality and food-safety teams, procurement, logistics and sales to deliver reliable, on-time supply while minimising wastage.
Key Responsibilities

• Translate customer orders, forecasts and sales commitments into weekly and monthly production plans.
• Plan and optimise utilisation of farm capacity, including growing area, automation systems, labour and nursery space.
• Work with R&D Team to incorporate crop recipes, growth-cycle durations, expected yields and quality specifications into planning.
• Plan seed, substrate, nutrient, packaging and other consumable requirements, and coordinate timely procurement with suppliers.
• Align harvest, packing and dispatch schedules with logistics and customer delivery requirements, taking shelf life into account.
• Monitor production against plan, re-planning promptly for demand changes, crop issues, equipment down time or capacity constraints.
• Track and report production KPIs such as plan adherence, capacity utilisation, yield per unit area, on-time-in-full delivery and wastage.
• Maintain accurate production data and planning records in Greenphyto’s farm-management and ERP systems.
• Lead regular production planning and sales-and-operations review meetings with cross-functional teams.
Minimum Requirements
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Agriculture, Business or a related discipline.
• 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in production planning, supply planning, operations planning or a similar role. Fresh graduate with a positive mindset and willingness to learn will be considered too.
• Good understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management and demand forecasting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis.
• Experience using ERP, MRP or production-planning systems.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate plans, risks and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on-site and engage directly with farm operations in an operational vertical-farm environment.
PreferredQualifications
• Experience in controlled-environment agriculture, vertical farming, horticulture or fresh-produce supply chains highly valued
• Experience planning for perishable products with short shelf lives and strict delivery windows.
• Familiarity with advanced planning and scheduling tools or farm-management software.
Key Competencies
• Practical and results-oriented approach to planning and execution.
• Ability to balance customer demand, crop biology and operational constraints in planning decisions.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Curiosity and willingness to understand plant-growth and farm-production processes.
• Strong ownership and commitment to delivering reliable, on-time production outcomes.
