Keeping an eye on product displays, shelf stock, and the store's overall appearance. Examining market trends and providing consumers with products they would find appealing. Handling requests, criticisms, and complaints from customers. Encouraging workers to meet goals. Scheduling shifts and training new hires. Requirements GED or high school diploma. It is preferred to have a bachelor's degree in business administration, financial management, or a related field. experience in a retail setting, or something comparable, as a supervisor. a wealth of experience creating budgets, financial reports, and expense reports. thorough understanding of marketing tactics, consumer trends, and product trends. Excellent people skills for interacting with coworkers and customers. proficiency with retail management programs like AIM and NetSuite. proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet programs. outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. knowledge of relevant labor laws and retail health and safety regulations.
