035813 Shipping Labourer (Open)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Move, lift, handle, and position finished construction tubes for shipment.
- Arrange construction tubes on trailer in accordance with loading requirements and shipping instructions.
- Ensure products are properly positioned, stacked, and secured for safe transportation
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
- Verify product sizes, quantities, and identification against shipping documents.
- Collaborate with shipping team, forklift operators, and production staff to support timely shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including Zero Harm policies, and use protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report damaged products, unsafe conditions, and loading concerns.
- Perform other shipping and material handling duties as assigned.
- Follow safety regulations.
Education and Experience
- Typically possesses less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills
- Good physical stamina, ability to perform heavy, repetitive physical work throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach lift as required.
- Ability to safely push, pull, move, and position construction tubes.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and shipping environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to work safely around moving equipment, forklifts, trailers, and other personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping, warehousing, manufacturing or material handling is an asset
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and communicate safety instructions.
- Willingness and ability to perform physically demanding work.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $16.36 - $27.87annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between17.00 to18.00. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
