Grensarbeid zoekt voor TATA Steel Service Centre een logistiek medewerker.

Werken bij Service Centre Maastricht (SCM) betekent werken met staal dat wordt toegepast in machines, vrachtwagens, auto’s, schepen en vele andere industrieën. In ons team van 225 collega’s telt iedereen mee: van operator tot logistiek medewerker werken we nauw samen aan veilig, precies en betrouwbaar werk.   • Als logistiek medewerker ben je verantwoordelijk voor een veilige en efficiënte opslag en transport van materiaal binnen onze magazijnen. Je werkzaamheden bestaan voornamelijk uit het laden en lossen van vrachtwagens en schepen, waarbij je zowel in het coilmagazijn (rollen staal) als in het platenmagazijn (gereed product) wordt ingezet. Je bent mede verantwoordelijk voor het verladen van materialen en zorg je ervoor dat alle ladingen volgens de regels van ladingzekering correct worden vastgezet.
  • Naast het laden en lossen stel je vrachten samen, waarbij je zorgvuldig rekening houdt met de juiste volgorde en gewichtsverdeling. Je scant materialen en verwerkt alle logistieke handelingen administratief in SAP, zodat de voorraad altijd up-to-date is en de juiste documentatie voor verzending beschikbaar is. Je laadt vrachtwagens van internationale chauffeurs en zorgt er samen met hen voor dat de vrachten veilig over de Europese snelwegen vervoerd kunnen worden. Veiligheid en precisie staan hierbij voorop, want een goed gezekerde lading is essentieel voor een probleemloos transport.
  • Je bedient bovenloopkranen en zorgt ervoor dat zware ladingen nauwkeurig en veilig op de juiste plaats terechtkomen. Werken op hoogte is voor jou geen probleem en je hebt een goed dieptezicht, wat essentieel is bij het betreden van de laadruimtes van schepen en het werken vanuit de kraancabine. Omdat veiligheid bij ons een topprioriteit is, heb je een sterk veiligheidsbewustzijn en handel je altijd zorgvuldig en accuraat.
  • Voor deze functie zoeken we iemand met minimaal een mbo-niveau 2 opleiding, bij voorkeur in een logistieke richting, of iemand met ruime ervaring binnen de logistiek.
  • Ervaring met bovenloopkranen en een certificaat veilig hijsen zijn belangrijk om je werk goed uit te voeren. Omdat je regelmatig werkt met digitale systemen, is het belangrijk dat je bekend bent met SAP en Windows-applicaties.
  • Daarnaast is een goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal vereist, en omdat je veel te maken hebt met internationale chauffeurs, is kennis van Engels en Duits een extra troef.
  • Je werkt in een meerploegenrooster en hebt hierin een zelfstandige rol, maar samenwerking met collega’s is minstens zo belangrijk. Klant- en servicegerichtheid staan hoog in het vaandel, en je weet hoe je efficiënt en professioneel te werk gaat.
