Grensarbeid zoekt voor TATA Steel Service Centre een Mechanisch operator.

Werken bij Service Centre Maastricht (SCM) betekent werken met staal dat wordt toegepast in machines, vrachtwagens, auto’s, schepen en vele andere industrieën. In ons team van 225 collega’s telt iedereen mee: van operator tot logistiek medewerker werken we nauw samen aan veilig, precies en betrouwbaar werk. Wat ga je doen:

  • Je bent een belangrijke schakel in het productieproces. Elke dag draag je zorg voor een veilige werkomgeving, waarbij je ervoor zorgt dat de geldende veiligheidsnormen worden nageleefd.
  • Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het bedienen van de productielijnen incl. het in- en omstellen en uitvoeren van eerstelijns onderhoud. Een essentieel aspect van jouw werk is het tijdig signaleren van storingen. Wanneer je een probleem detecteert, probeer je deze zelf op te lossen of communiceer je deze met de onderhoudsafdeling, zodat zij het probleem kunnen verhelpen.
  • Naast het bedienen van de machines, ben je ook verantwoordelijk voor het gebruik van de inline meet- en analyseapparatuur. Hiermee houd je toezicht op het productieproces en voer je kwaliteitscontroles uit om ervoor te zorgen dat alles volgens de norm verloopt. Het machinaal verpakken van stalen platen behoort ook tot jouw takenpakket, net zoals het bedienen van de bovenloopkraan om indien nodig materialen te verplaatsen.
  • Verder participeer je actief in initiatieven voor verbetering en lever je een bijdrage aan het automatiseringsproces, met als doel het productieproces steeds efficiënter te maken.

Vereisten voor de ideale kandidaat:

  • Enkele jaren ervaring als mechanisch operator of in het bezit zijn van een diploma mechanisch operator B.
  • Affiniteit met automatisering of de bereidheid en ambitie om nieuwe technologieën te leren.
  • Probleemoplossend vermogen en aandacht voor detail.
  • Competenties zoals veilig werken, gestructureerde aanpak bij het oplossen van storingen, samenwerken, klantgerichtheid, duidelijke communicatie, nauwkeurig de richtlijnen volgen, technisch inzicht, leerbereidheid, en vaardigheid in het gebruik van digitale hulpmiddelen en automatiseringssoftware.
