The posting

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic intern to join our small marketing, events, and communications team. This role offers a broad range of marketing and communications experience to help you develop your professional skills and competencies. You will gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and communications and support various marketing operations activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with digital marketing operations and updates across multiple channels, including our website, LinkedIn, newsletters, and the GRESB insights blog
  • Support the full rebuild of the GRESB website using WordPress, helping create, adapt, and upload content, build pages, and test for accuracy, consistency, and usability ahead of launch
  • Identify inefficiencies across marketing and communications and help develop, test, and implement AI-assisted workflows using Claude and other tools to reduce manual work and improve efficiency, while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Support production of the Pulse by GRESB, GRESB’s audio content series, including recording and editing audio and video content
  • Help prepare, test, and send out list emails and newsletters to targeted audiences and track relevant KPIs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and identify gaps, outdated information, and opportunities for improvement in marketing materials
  • Support the application of SEO best practices, such as keyword usage and meta descriptions, to enhance online content visibility
  • Provide general support for ongoing website maintenance and updates as the site evolves, including assisting with content changes, basic troubleshooting, and quality checks
  • Provide general support for marketing projects and events to ensure smooth execution and successful outcomes

Requirements

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field related to Marketing, Communications, Business, Management, Administration, Environmental Science and/or Policy; OR:
  • You study Business Economics, Finance, Finance, Engineering, Environmental studies or related and are passionate about Sustainability and ESG issues.
  • You have excellent collaboration skills with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English (C1 at minimum). Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • You are very well organized and detail-oriented, and able to work in a busy, international environment.
  • You have a high degree of comfort using common software packages and online tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint). Experience with design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Descript for audio/video editing), WordPress, and Salesforce is a plus.
  • You are an AI-native: comfortable using AI in your day-to-day work, with hands-on experience using Claude and a curiosity for exploring new tools and ways of working.
  • You enjoy improving processes and have a practical aptitude for automation. You can break a task into clear steps, spot opportunities to reduce repetitive work, and help turn ideas into reliable workflows.
  • You bring strong critical thinking and independent judgment. You know when AI can add value, when a task needs human judgment, and how to check AI-generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, and quality. You can think on your feet, question assumptions, and adapt when an approach is not working.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor visas for this role. You must already possess the right to work in the Netherlands or hold a valid student visa.

Benefits

  • Involvement in a dynamic international organization, that has become the leading sustainability benchmark for real estate and infrastructure
  • Monthly internship allowance of EUR 1.200
  • 12 paid days off
  • Free, healthy lunch at the GRESB office.
  • Free public transport to and from the GRESB office (in Amsterdam) within the Netherlands.
  • Opportunity to work with a highly talented team in a supportive environment with loads of camaraderie.
  • Autonomy and the chance to take responsibility for tasks from the beginning of your internship.
  • The opportunity to develop your network by being involved with all types of GRESB stakeholders (Investors, fund managers, sustainability consultants and industry bodies).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
