The posting

Grimshaw is a place of ideas. For over 40 years we've delivered pioneering, precedent-setting award winning designs: work that's innately attuned to place, people and planet, and resolves complexity with rigour. We're looking for talented, engaged architects to bring that same purpose to our London studio in Clerkenwell, working on large-scale infrastructure projects.

People are at the heart of what we do: in the projects we deliver, the studios we build and the communities we shape together. We've built a reputation for convivial, democratic studios where creativity and innovation are actively encouraged from every member of staff, because we know our best work comes from talented, diverse and committed people who help shape where we go next.

With over 500 people and more than 50 nationalities represented across seven studios worldwide, you'll be part of a genuinely global practice, with real opportunities to collaborate with colleagues overseas on work that matters. We're proud of our inclusive approach and equal opportunities offer, and we want you to have the freedom to be creative, to challenge yourself, and to grow, whatever your background or route into architecture.

What we're looking for:

  • A design-focused approach and genuine appreciation of our design ethos
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Autodesk Revit
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • ARB registration or an international equivalent professional qualification in Architecture
  • Experience working collaboratively within mid-to-large project teams
  • A willingness to contribute to studio life, supporting junior colleagues and studio-wide initiative

Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or transport projects would be advantageous but not required

Please note: applications for this role will only be considered with a portfolio and work samples.

This role may be offered on a fixed-term basis.

What you can expect from us:

  • The freedom to be creative and innovative, and to challenge yourself as you progress
  • Opportunities for mentoring, international collaboration and career development
  • An inclusive, supportive studio culture, whatever stage of your career you're at

We welcome applications from individuals of any background, regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

How to apply: Please submit your CV and portfolio in a standard, ATS-friendly format to ensure your application is processed correctly by our recruitment system.

Please note: any offer of employment is conditional upon your having the right to work in the UK.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
