Job Description

We are seeking a competent and experienced Manager to oversee thedaily operations of our jewellery retail business. The successful candidatewill be responsible for driving sales performance, managing staff, ensuringinventory accuracy, maintaining operational efficiency, and deliveringexcellent customer service, with particular involvement in the DiamondJewellery Section.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily retail operations to ensure smooth and efficient business activities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets and improve profitability.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate staff to maintain high standards of performance and customer service.
  • Manage the sales and merchandising of gold, diamonds, gemstones, and other jewellery products.
  • Oversee the Diamond Jewellery Section, including product presentation, sales performance, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Provide professional guidance to customers on diamond selection, grading, certification, and the 4Cs (Cut, Colour, Clarity, and Carat Weight).
  • Monitor diamond jewellery collections, customer preferences, and market trends to recommend suitable product selections and sales strategies.
  • Ensure proper verification, documentation, and safekeeping of diamond jewellery and relevant certificates.
  • Monitor inventory movements, conduct stocktaking, and ensure accurate stock records and reconciliation.
  • Ensure proper handling, safekeeping, and security of all merchandise and company assets.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Oversee daily sales reporting, cashiering, and cash reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare regular sales, inventory, and operational reports for Management.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in retail operations, preferably in the jewellery industry.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Good knowledge of gold, diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery retail operations.
  • Familiarity with diamond grading, certification, pricing, and product specifications would be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, sales management, and customer service skills.
  • Good understanding of inventory control, stock management, and retail operations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Ability to work independently and manage operational priorities effectively.
