  • Identify user needs, pain points, constraints and opportunities across learners, educators and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct user interviews, stakeholder consultations and field immersions to validate problem statements.
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into clear product opportunities and solution directions.
  • Ensure product strategy is aligned with organisational priorities, user needs and intended learning outcomes.

2. Product Experience & Journey Ownership

  • Own end-to-end user journeys, from exploration and decision-making to learning and career transitions.
  • Define experience principles, product flows and interaction requirements across digital platforms and supporting touchpoints.
  • Work closely with UX and Learning Experience Design teams to create intuitive, engaging and accessible experiences.
  • Identify friction points affecting user engagement, retention, completion and learning outcomes.
  • Champion learner- and educator-centric design, particularly for users in low-resource and diverse learning environments.

3. Product Definition & Execution

  • Translate product opportunities into clear product requirements, PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Define feature scope, expected outcomes, dependencies and success measures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to assess feasibility and ensure effective product delivery.
  • Guide teams through product trade-offs while maintaining focus on user value and strategic priorities.
  • Ensure alignment between product requirements, content experiences, technology and programme implementation.

4. Product Roadmap & Prioritisation

  • Develop and manage the product roadmap in alignment with strategic objectives and user needs.
  • Prioritise initiatives based on user value, learning outcomes, organisational priorities and evidence from research and experimentation.
  • Balance immediate product improvements with long-term product vision and scalability.
  • Continuously review and refine priorities based on user behaviour, performance data and emerging insights.
  • Build stakeholder alignment around product direction, timelines, priorities and trade-offs.

5. Product Analytics, Experimentation & Validation

  • Partner with Analytics and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) teams to define product success metrics, behavioural indicators and learning outcomes.
  • Drive data-informed product decisions through user behaviour analysis, feedback and performance insights.
  • Design and oversee A/B testing, usability studies, pilots and other product experiments.
  • Establish hypotheses, validation criteria and measurement frameworks for new features and initiatives.
  • Interpret experiment findings and translate them into actionable product recommendations.
  • Identify whether challenges are related to product design, content quality or implementation, and use evidence to determine appropriate interventions.

6. Innovation & Product Governance

  • Lead product-related contributions to innovation frameworks, validation processes and stage-gate reviews.
  • Define MVP assumptions, learning questions and validation criteria for new product opportunities.
  • Work with Programme, Product Operations, Analytics and Knowledge Management teams to assess and validate innovations.
  • Use evidence from pilots and experiments to determine whether initiatives should be scaled, refined, redesigned or discontinued.
  • Contribute to portfolio reviews, innovation assessments and strategic product decisions.
  • Ensure that product innovations are supported by clear adoption, engagement, learning and impact measures.

7. Experience Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and maintain standards for usability, accessibility, consistency and overall product experience.
  • Monitor product health indicators and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work with Design, Engineering and Learning Experience Design teams to improve product quality and user satisfaction.
  • Ensure product experiences remain simple, relevant and effective across different user groups and operating contexts.

8. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide strategic direction and functional leadership across product experience initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders and external partners.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Product, Design, Engineering, Analytics and Programme teams.
  • Drive clarity, accountability and alignment in complex and evolving product environments.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to building a culture of user-centricity, experimentation and evidence-based decision-making.

Required Experience & Skills:

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
