The posting

About Growth Kitchen

Growth Kitchen is on a mission to make eating great food the norm. We license well-known restaurant brands, such as GBK and The Athenian, into existing pubs, hotels and takeaways, so kitchen operators can sell food people already love from the kitchen they already run.

The role

This role is for recently graduated (max 2 years experience), ambitious people who want a job where they can get hands on, make an impact and help build an enduring business. We’re hiring a small team of Launch Associates to take new kitchens from signed contract to thriving site.

When our sales team signs a new partner, you take it from there. You’ll get to know the partner, prepare the site for launch, travel out to train their team on our brands, and then own that kitchen’s first 12 weeks of trading. Your job is to make sure it doesn’t just open, but takes off.

You don’t need to be a chef. We’ll teach you to cook every brand on our menu to standard, and then you’ll teach it to others. What we need from you is energy, sharp thinking, and the ability to walk into a kitchen you’ve never seen and get the team on your side within an hour.

If you want to learn how a fast-growing startup actually grows, this is the front line.

What you'll do

Before launch

  • Take over new partners from the sales team and make them feel excited about what’s coming
  • Get the site ready: menus, equipment, delivery platform setup and a launch plan everyone understands

Launch day

  • Travel to the site and train the kitchen team on how to prep, cook and present each brand
  • Bring the energy. Launch day should feel like an event, not an admin exercise

The first 12 weeks

  • Own the site’s early performance: sales, ratings, reviews and food quality
  • Check in at set milestones (weeks 2, 4, 8 and 12), spot problems early and fix them with the team
  • Find creative ways to keep partners engaged and motivated, and help them grow their sales
  • Hand over a healthy, well-rated kitchen to our Account Managers at week 12
  • Feed back what you learn so every launch gets better than the last

What success looks like

A kitchen you launched that’s trading to brand standard, well rated, with lots of glowing reviews, and a partner who’s glad they signed.

What you'll learn

This role is built to teach you how startups get built through hands on experience and exposure to the broader company. It is a perfect opportunity for future entrepreneurs who love food. Within your first year you'll have seen it all:

  • How to cook and run multiple restaurant brands to a consistent standard
  • How Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat work, and what actually drives sales on them
  • How pubs, hotels and takeaways operate, and what makes a partner succeed
  • How a startup launches and scales a national network, location by location

Requirements

  • A recent graduate who’s smart, quick to learn and wants real responsibility early
  • Charismatic, fun and good with people. You can win over a head chef, a pub landlord and a hotel GM in the same week
  • You’ve probably worked in a restaurant, bar or café while studying, and you liked the buzz
  • Comfortable getting your hands dirty on the line, and equally comfortable looking at a sales dashboard
  • Organised enough to juggle several launches at once without dropping anything
  • Happy travelling across the UK most weeks (paid), with flexible hours but never weekends or bank holidays
  • Fluent in English with the right to work in the UK

Benefits

  • Real ownership from day one, with a clear path into Account Management, Operations or Growth
  • Full training on our brands and kitchens
  • Learn how startups get built
  • Competitive salary and stock options
  • Private pension and private health insurance
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Paid UK travel
  • Ambitious, fun people who care about doing things properly

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
