Installation Manager

Action Garage Door | Meridian, ID

Base Salary: $75,000–$90,000, depending on experience Total Annual Earnings Potential: $100,000+ with performance-based incentives Full-Time | Operations | Reports to the General Manager

Lead the Team. Raise the Standard. Drive Results.

You know what it takes to run a successful installation operation: prepared crews, clear expectations, quality workmanship, and a leader who earns the team’s trust.

At Action Garage Door, we’re looking for an experienced Installation Manager to lead our residential and commercial installation teams. If you’ve built your career in garage doors, construction, or another skilled trade—and have a track record of developing people and improving field performance—this is an opportunity to put that experience to work.

You’ll own the day-to-day performance of the installation department, helping crews work safely, complete jobs correctly, and deliver an excellent customer experience. Working closely with our Installation Coordinator, Sales, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams, you’ll keep jobs moving and address challenges before they become costly delays.

Bring your leadership, technical knowledge, and commitment to quality. Help us build a department that delivers results and a team that takes pride in its work.

What You’ll Lead

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop residential and commercial garage door installers.
  • Set clear expectations for productivity, workmanship, safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address performance concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Identify training needs and help installers strengthen their technical skills and efficiency.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Build a culture where employees receive the support they need and take ownership of their results.

Daily Installation Operations

  • Oversee daily installation activity, crew readiness, job progress, and completion.
  • Partner with the Installation Coordinator to align scheduling with crew availability, skill levels, job requirements, and capacity.
  • Confirm crews have accurate job information, materials, tools, and equipment before arriving onsite.
  • Conduct jobsite visits and quality inspections to reinforce installation standards and support field teams.
  • Resolve installation challenges, callbacks, warranty issues, and rework efficiently.
  • Ensure completed work is documented accurately and promptly in ServiceTitan.

Performance & Profitability

  • Monitor productivity, labor efficiency, job completion, installer utilization, and installation revenue.
  • Track quality, callbacks, rework, and customer satisfaction to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop practical action plans that improve performance and prevent recurring problems.
  • Manage labor costs and material usage to support installation profitability.
  • Improve processes that increase capacity while maintaining safety and workmanship.

Coordination, Safety & Customer Experience

  • Partner with Sales to clarify specifications, assess jobsite conditions, and address potential installation challenges.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse personnel to ensure material accuracy, availability, and proper job preparation.
  • Work with Customer Service and Sales to resolve escalated customer concerns.
  • Keep leadership informed about staffing needs, department performance, and operational challenges.
  • Reinforce company safety policies, manufacturer requirements, and proper installation procedures.
  • Maintain high standards for jobsite cleanliness, customer communication, and professional conduct.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Experience leading installation crews, field operations, or skilled trades teams.
  • A demonstrated ability to coach employees, establish expectations, and improve team performance.
  • Experience managing productivity, labor efficiency, workmanship, and operational results.
  • Technical knowledge of installation practices, tools, equipment, and jobsite safety.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and adapt when field conditions or schedules change.
  • Clear, professional communication with employees, customers, and leadership.
  • Confidence using technology, operational systems, and performance reports.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to jobsites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Garage door industry experience, including residential and commercial installation.
  • ServiceTitan experience.
  • Experience reducing callbacks, improving crew utilization, or increasing installation capacity.

Relevant leadership experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other installation-focused trades is encouraged.

What Success Looks Like

Your impact will show in a team that works safely, communicates clearly, and consistently delivers quality installations. Crews arrive prepared, jobs are completed correctly the first time, and callbacks and unnecessary costs decline.

You’ll develop capable installers, improve department efficiency, and help Action Garage Door support continued growth while protecting the customer experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of $75,000–$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Total annual earnings potential of $100,000+, including performance-based incentives.
  • Competitive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
  • A supportive team environment with close collaboration across departments.
  • The opportunity to shape an essential department within a growing company.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
