Job Description

Our Repairs and Maintenance teams play an important role in delivering our vision of providing great homes and great service. They offer vital support, ensuring that our homes are safe, warm, and dry, and where everything works; places where our residents are proud to live.

Guinness Property has a new opportunity for a Disrepair Coordinator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role is based in Sheffield and offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining office-based working with home working to provide flexibility and work-life balance.

About the role As a Disrepair Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the effective management of disrepair cases from initial claim through to resolution. You will plan and manage surveyor diaries, coordinate inspections and repair appointments, and work closely with residents, contractors and internal teams to ensure repairs are delivered within agreed timescales, legal requirements and service standards. Maintaining accurate case records, scheduling information and communication updates will be key to ensuring a smooth customer journey and effective case progression.

You will also support the legal and financial administration of disrepair cases by processing new claims, preparing high-quality court and disclosure bundles, maintaining settlement and compensation records, and ensuring compliance with pre-action protocols and GDPR requirements. In addition, you will promote safe working practices, adhere to Health & Safety standards, and support safeguarding responsibilities by identifying and escalating any concerns relating to customer wellbeing throughout the disrepair process.

You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills:

  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience of working within agreed performance targets.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
  • Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Experience of working with databases.
  • Evidence of competency in a relevant trade.
  • Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.

Essential qualifications:

  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent A levels.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
