Position Summary As an Assistant Store Manager, you help lead day-to-day store operations. You’ll partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, manage donations, and deliver a great customer experience. This role is hands-on—leading by example, keeping the store organized, and motivating your team to succeed.

What You’ll Do Lead Yourself

Build trust through honesty and integrity Take ownership of store standards (cash handling, deposits, procedures) Adapt quickly to changing priorities

Lead Others

Deliver excellent service to shoppers and donors Support hiring, scheduling, training, and coaching Provide clear direction and real-time feedback Communicate effectively with diverse teams

Drive the Business

Oversee daily operations (donations, pricing, stocking, cash handling) Use data and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office) to make decisions Help achieve sales goals through strong floor presence Keep merchandise organized, stocked, and visually appealing

Ensure Results & Compliance

Hold self and team accountable for performance Maintain safe, secure operations (loss prevention, safety practices) Ensure register accuracy and proper deposit handling

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred 2–3 years of retail experience At least 2 years of supervisory experience Resale, production, or operations experience a plus

Work Environment

Fast-paced retail setting with moderate noise Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Lift/carry up to 30 lbs (occasionally more) Hands-on work with equipment and registers
