Position Summary
The Vital Records Data Quality Analyst I is a developmental analyst who supports data-quality assurance, reporting, record matching, information fulfillment, recurring data exchanges, and controlled data operations for Georgia's vital records program. Working from established procedures and under review, the position uses SQL, Excel, reporting tools, and vital records systems to prepare accurate and secure information. The analyst builds proficiency in birth, death, fetal-death, marriage, divorce, and related data while protecting confidential and personally identifiable information.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public health, health information management, informatics, data analytics, information systems, business administration, statistics, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
· Coursework, internship, or practical experience using SQL, Excel, analytics, reporting, databases, health information, or public-health data.
· Exposure to Tableau or another visualization platform, record matching, data-quality work, structured files, testing, or regulated records.
· Experience in vital records, public health, healthcare, government, research, or another confidential-data environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
