The posting

The HR Coordinator (9-month contract) is a key support role within Human Resources reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources.  This role provides day-to-day administration, recruitment coordination, communications and project support. As a central point of contact for the team, you will help maintain accurate information, coordinate recurring activities and improve the processes that enable HR to serve leaders and employees effectively. What you will do 

Coordinate recurring HR administration, trackers, calendars, records, invoices and team documentation with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.  Support recruitment administration, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, documentation, background-check coordination and onboarding logistics.  Coordinate HR meetings and project activities by preparing agendas and materials, tracking actions, maintaining timelines and following up on deliverables.  Draft, format and distribute clear HR communications and keep employee-facing information current, including content on Compass and other internal channels.  Respond to routine questions and requests, directing employees, leaders, candidates and vendors to the appropriate HR team member or resource.  Identify practical opportunities to simplify workflows, strengthen standard operating procedures and improve the employee and candidate experience. 

What you bring 

Post-secondary education in human resources, business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in HR coordination, office administration, recruitment support or project coordination.  Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.  Strong attention to detail and sound judgement when handling confidential or sensitive information.  Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills and a service-oriented approach.  Comfort working with Microsoft 365 tools and learning new systems; experience with an HRIS, applicant tracking system or intranet is an asset.  A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. 

The base salary for this position is between $50,900.00 to $76,400.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
