We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Associate – Electronics to support Goodwill’s online sales operations by identifying, testing, researching, preparing, photographing, and listing donated electronics for sale through digital marketplaces such as ShopGoodwill, eBay, and other platforms. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with a wide variety of consumer electronics and has a good working knowledge of computers, computer components, cell phones, tablets, video games and consoles, audio/video equipment, cameras, and other electronic devices. The ideal candidate should be able to identify valuable electronics, test items for functionality, recognize basic hardware and components, research models and specifications, and accurately communicate the condition of an item. This position plays an important role in maximizing the value of donated goods while maintaining quality, accuracy, asset protection, and production standards. Identify, sort, clean, test, and prepare donated electronics for online sale Test electronic devices and equipment for basic functionality and identify defects or missing components Identify makes, models, specifications, components, and other important product information Work with computers, laptops, monitors, computer components, cell phones, tablets, video game systems, controllers, games, cameras, audio equipment, and other consumer electronics Identify computer components such as processors, RAM, storage drives, graphics cards, motherboards, power supplies, and other hardware Assist with evaluating electronics to determine which items have the greatest potential resale value Research products, model numbers, specifications, and comparable items to support accurate online listings Photograph merchandise in accordance with eCommerce quality and brand standards Accurately document the condition, functionality, included accessories, missing parts, and known defects of each item Assist with listing preparation, quality assurance, and product presentation Properly handle and protect sensitive or higher-value electronics Follow established procedures for handling devices that may contain personal or stored data Work in a fast-paced production environment while consistently meeting daily production goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) Pull, fill, shelve, and rotate merchandise as needed Maintain an organized Electronics Room, including testing stations, equipment, supplies, and inventory Support packing, shipping, and fulfillment of eCommerce orders as needed Help extract the highest possible value from donated electronics through proper identification, testing, research, handling, and presentation Safeguard company property, including donated goods, testing equipment, tools, and computers Protect business assets and report incidents of theft or unauthorized possession Promote teamwork by sharing technical knowledge and cooperating with colleagues Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including courtesy and professionalism Follow all safety rules, company policies, and procedures at all times Work overtime as required Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Must-Have Qualifications

General knowledge of computers, electronics, and consumer technology Ability to identify and test common electronic devices Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components Familiarity with cell phones, tablets, video game consoles, controllers, and accessories Ability to research model numbers, specifications, and product information online Ability to determine and clearly document whether an electronic item is working, partially working, untested, or defective Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer skills, including data entry, internet research, email, and inventory or listing software Ability to learn new electronic products, testing procedures, and technology Ability to work independently while meeting production and quality expectations

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working with electronics, computers, IT equipment, video games, electronics repair, resale, or eCommerce Experience building, upgrading, repairing, or troubleshooting computers Knowledge of PC components and compatibility Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and common gaming platforms Knowledge of current and vintage video game consoles, games, and accessories Familiarity with electronics resale values and collectible or vintage electronics Experience selling or researching products on ShopGoodwill, eBay, or similar marketplaces Experience with product photography and online listings Basic troubleshooting or electronics repair experience is a plus

Special Working Conditions

This is a production environment where extended periods of standing may be required, up to 8 hours daily. Must be comfortable regularly handling computers, electronics, cables, accessories, and other equipment. Must be able to safely move and handle electronic equipment within established job requirements.
