The posting

Founding Sales Development Representative Brooklyn, New York (Hybrid)

Ready to stop running on someone else’s playbook and write your own?

About Haast

We aren’t experimenting with AI. We’re shipping one of the first enterprise-grade AI platforms for compliance, already in production with global enterprises. Our platform helps legal, compliance and marketing teams move through reviews up to 80% faster, with a 4x boost in productivity.

We’ve recently raised a $12M Series A led by Peak XV Partners, with DST Global and Airtree. Now we’re building the commercial engine to match.

Think Canva for design. Atlassian for projects. Haast for compliance.

Why this role exists

Compliance is a $50B global opportunity, and every deal we close starts with a conversation. Right now, nobody’s job is to start them. That’s where you come in.

As our first SDR, based in our Brooklyn office, you’ll work side by side with our CEO and Founding Enterprise AE. You’ll build the pipeline behind Haast’s next stage of growth and write the playbook every SDR after you will run.

What you’ll own

Most of your time goes into creating qualified pipeline. The rest goes into building the process that lets others do the same.

Pipeline

- Phone first: Run daily outbound across phone, email and LinkedIn into target accounts. The phone is your first move, not your last resort.

- Warm pipeline: Work the demand that marketing generates through content, events, webinars and community, and act fast on the inbound signals that matter, from website visits to demo requests.

- Events into meetings: Personally invite the right people beforehand, then co-own follow-up with our Founding Enterprise AE to book meetings while the momentum is there.

- Discovery that holds up: Run structured discovery against our ideal customer profile and book meetings our Founding Enterprise AE accepts.

Playbook and process

- Write the playbook: Build, test and document talk tracks, sequences, objection handling and qualification criteria. Keep what works and drop what doesn’t.

- Own the numbers: Keep our CRM clean, report on meetings booked, acceptance rate and conversion, and recommend changes to tools and process.

- AI as leverage: Use AI to multiply your output across account research, personalization and sequencing, and keep testing new workflows.

- Voice of the market: Bring what you hear on calls back to marketing, product and sales leadership: which titles respond, which industries engage, the objections and the buying triggers. Your insight sharpens our ICP and personas.

You might be a fit if you:

- Have outgrown your seat: You’re an experienced SDR or BDR from B2B software who consistently hits or beats meeting and pipeline targets, and you’re ready for a role you get to build.

- Improve the process, not just follow it: You’ve built or rebuilt sequences and you can show what changed as a result.

- Love the numbers: You track your own funnel, run message tests, and can explain what you changed and why.

- Hold your own with senior buyers: You’re comfortable engaging director level and above, and bringing several functions into one conversation.

- Write and speak with credibility: Clear, concise and confident with people who are paid to be skeptical.

- Already work with AI: Claude, ChatGPT or similar are part of how you research and prospect today, not something you’re planning to try.

- Know the tools: HubSpot (or Salesforce), LinkedIn Sales Navigator and any other tools you've seen work well.

Nice to have, but not essential

- Selling to marketing, compliance, legal or risk buyers

- A background in compliance software, regtech or legal tech

- Time at an early-stage startup where things moved quickly!

Why Haast

- A founding seat: Be the first SDR at a Series A company and shape how we go to market.

- Clear (and fast) growth pathway: Build the function, prove it works, then lead the team that follows or step up into enterprise sales ownership if that's the route you want to take

- Compensation: Base salary $60-$80k USD with up to 30% on top in commission and meaningful equity options.

- Flexibility: Hybrid from our Brooklyn office.

- Benefits: Health insurance, 401k and generous PTO

- Learning velocity: Learn more in 12 months than most roles offer in three years, with daily access to our CEO and Founding Enterprise AE.

- Traction behind you: You’ll be opening doors for a product global enterprises already trust, with the results to back it up.

Ready to build the pipeline you’ll be talking about for the rest of your career?

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

The numbers game

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
