The posting

Als hondenverzorger ondersteun je het trainersteam tijdens het opleidingstraject van de assitentiehonden. Dit in eerste instantie tijdens de fase van de eindopleiding. Je zorgt voor rust en stabiliteit bij de groep honden en voor een gerichte opvolging van hun welzijn. Dit gebeurt steeds in samenspraak met de trainers. Je hebt tevens een praktische, ondersteunende rol bij de trainingssessies met de gastgezinnen.

Taken

Tijdens de eindopleiding sta je in voor

- uitlaat ochtend/avond

- organisatie ontspanning en verrijking

- management van de rust in de kennels

- coördinatie vrijwilligers: uitlaat en weekendopvang

- verzorging en opvolging van de honden: vacht, oren, gewicht

- feed-back toestand honden trainersteam

- ondersteuning trainingsmomenten eindopleiding

Voorbereiding en ondersteuning trainingsmomenten gastgezinnen

- klaarzetten en opruimen materialen ifv de sessies

- ondersteuning groepsmomenten

Verzorging

- voeding, medicatie, supplementen: plannen opvolgen en uitvoeren

- honden ontwormen/ontvlooien

- bestellingen coördineren

- afspraken dierenarts

- wegen van de honden

Materiaalbeheer en beheer ruimtes

- stock bijhouden

- aankopen voorbereiden en uitvoeren

- herstellen materiaal en wasbeurten

- orde en netheid van de kennels en trainingsruimtes, de wasruimte, het brokjeshok

- Je bent een dierenliefhebber en hebt een sterke affiniteit met honden

- Je bent een zorgzaam persoon

- Je hebt een concrete ervaring met honden in een private of professionele omgeving

- Je bent een jonge starter en hebt een bachelorsopleiding genoten

- Je werkt resultaatgericht en hebt een goed time-management

- Je bent enthousiast, helder en gestructureerd in je communicatie

- Als teamspeler ga je steeds in overleg met je collega’s

- Een dosis administratie schrikt je niet af en je bent hierin zeer punctueel

- Je bent vertrouwd met MS Office

- Je jongleert met agenda’s en Excel-files en houdt je mailverkeer onder controle

- Je bent leergierig en wil je nieuwe methodes snel eigen maken

- Je geraakt vlot en stipt op het centrum (start 8u30)

- Een rijbewijs is vereist
