SENIOR DIRECTOR, ENTERPRISE AI & IT, INDIA SITE LEAD

LOCATION: PUNE, INDIA (WORKING ONSITE)

POSITION SUMMARY

HackerOne is transforming how we work to become an AI-native enterprise, and the Senior Director, Enterprise AI & IT will lead that transformation. Reporting to the CTO, you will own our Enterprise AI and Enterprise IT functions, shaping how AI changes the systems, workflows, capabilities, and operating models that power HackerOne and ensuring our technology foundation enables the company to move faster and operate more effectively.

This role carries an equally important second mandate: serving as HackerOne’s senior leader on the ground in India and Site Leader for Pune, a strategic technical center for the company. You will be the face and voice of HackerOne in Pune, bringing teams and leaders together across functions, shaping the long-term ambition for the site, and building an environment where Pune takes on increasingly strategic and consequential work.

We opened our new office in Pune, India to welcome team members who value in-person connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. All roles in Pune are hybrid by design – remote options are not available. For the types of challenges we’ll tackle and the work we’ll do together, we believe in-person connection will be essential to building strong relationships, solving problems effectively, and fostering a vibrant community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Success in the Senior Director, Enterprise AI role will be accomplished by delivering on the responsibilities below in alignment with the Values and Principles that define how we work at HackerOne.

- Set and execute an AI Native strategy for the Enterprise, moving HackerOne beyond incremental AI adoption toward AI-native ways of working. Identify where agents, automation, new capabilities, and redesigned operating models can materially improve how teams work and turn that opportunity into measurable company-wide transformation.

- Own the Outcome for Enterprise AI and Enterprise IT, including the systems, platforms, AI enablement, and IT support capabilities employees depend on. Establish clear priorities, operating mechanisms, accountability, and measures of success while ensuring these functions deliver reliable services today and build toward HackerOne’s future.

- Build an AI-native Enterprise IT model, including an increasingly automated help desk in which AI agents resolve a growing share of employee needs, human support focuses on what requires judgment and intervention, and deep technical issues reach the appropriate owning teams. Use the resulting data and patterns to continually improve both AI and enterprise systems.

- Multiply Your Impact by building, developing, and connecting strong teams and leaders. Create clarity and high standards within Enterprise AI & IT while building a Pune leadership community that shares context, solves problems across organizational boundaries, and collectively owns the success of the site.

- Serve as HackerOne’s senior leader on the ground in India and build one HackerOne in Pune. Establish the connections, operating rhythms, and shared identity that bring teams across functions together as a cohesive, high-performing community; step into cross-functional friction when unclear ownership, competing priorities, or coordination breakdowns impede execution.

- Set the ambition for Pune over the next 2–3 years and practice Change Agility as the company and technology landscape evolve. Shape the capabilities, talent, and leadership HackerOne builds in India, translate company strategy into clear local priorities, and enable the site to take on increasingly strategic and consequential work.

- Apply Data-Driven Decision Making to Enterprise AI transformation, IT operations, and site leadership. Establish measures that show whether AI is materially improving how HackerOne operates, whether Enterprise IT is delivering effectively, and whether Pune is developing the capabilities and impact expected of a strategic technical center.

- Apply First Principles Problem Solving to enterprise-wide opportunities and constraints. Challenge legacy assumptions about how work should be done, reduce unnecessary complexity, and work across organizational boundaries to design simpler, scalable operating models; externally, represent HackerOne in India’s technology and talent ecosystem to strengthen the relationships and employer presence needed to support Pune’s long-term growth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Significant senior leadership experience owning enterprise technology, AI transformation, enterprise systems, IT, or similarly broad technical functions, with accountability for strategy and execution across multiple capabilities and stakeholders.

- Experience representing a technology company externally and building relationships across India’s engineering, AI, technology, and talent ecosystem.

- Demonstrated experience leading meaningful AI transformation—not simply deploying AI tools—including redesigning workflows or operating models and translating emerging AI capabilities into measurable organizational outcomes.

- Experience operating in a highly technical environment with sufficient depth across enterprise systems, software/automation, AI capabilities, and IT operations to set technical direction, make informed tradeoffs, and build credibility with engineering and business leaders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building or leading a strategic technology site or major cross-functional technical organization in India, or comparable experience establishing a strong local leadership community within a global company.

- Experience scaling AI agents, automation, internal developer tooling, or AI-enabled enterprise platforms across a complex organization.

- Experience leading both enterprise IT/systems and transformation-oriented technology functions, including modernizing employee support through self-service and automation.
