Customs Operations & Broker Management

  • Manage customs broker relationships and establish performance expectations and governance processes.
  • Define and track key performance indicators for broker performance, including entry accuracy, clearance cycle times, and error rates.
  • Review customs entry accuracy and resolve classification, valuation, and documentation issues.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for customs clearance issues, compliance risks, and service concerns.
  • Ensure alignment between internal systems, shipping documentation, and broker declarations.

Trade Cost & Financial Management

  • Validate duty rates and landed cost assumptions for imported products.
  • Analyze tariff exposure, duty costs, and compliance-related financial risks.
  • Lead drawback, refund, and duty recovery initiatives.
  • Quantify and communicate impact of regulatory changes and classification decisions to Finance and business leaders.
  • Support sourcing, pricing, and product strategy decisions through informed trade compliance guidance.

Data Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Own the accuracy of trade-related master data, including HTS classifications, country of origin, duty rates, and FTA information.
  • Develop and maintain governance processes that support data integrity; ERP and broker system alignment, and auditability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, training materials, and audit-ready documentation that scales with business growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Provide guidance on compliance risks, trade costs, and regulatory requirements to Finance, Product, Procurement, and business leaders.
  • Lead trade compliance activities within new product introduction (NPI) processes to ensure products are launch-ready.
  • Serve as the trusted subject matter expert for trade compliance across the organization.

You Have

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
