Hammer Residences is a nonprofit organization that is mission-driven in our approach. For over 95 years, Hammer has supported individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to help them live life to its fullest. Overview: As part of Hammer Travel you will receive an itinerary and orientation for each trip and are responsible to assist with the daily operation of the trip while following all Hammer policies. Responsibilities: · Complete all trip specific duties, including but not limited to pre-trip meeting; pre-trip phone calls; traveler check in/out for the trip; trip supervision and itinerary follow through; etc... · Support travelers’ needs (financial, personal, etc.) during the trip. · Ensure the trip operates within the assigned budget. Qualifications: · Supervisory experience is preferred. Demonstrate rational, objective decision-making · Demonstrate a strong commitment to collaboration with supervisor, team members, families, and external stakeholders. Requires ability to work with people of different abilities, ages, cultures, and ethnicities · Requires a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Hammer’s insurance requirements. Must receive a MN DHS Background study clearance · May require lifting 50 pounds (such as lifting a wheelchair into a van), pushing, or pulling an individual in a wheelchair or while assisting with cares. Physical cares may include twisting/turning, kneeling/squatting, and assisting with pivot transfer
