This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal conflicts professional to lead and grow a managed services practice supporting law firms and professional services clients. You will oversee client relationships, service delivery, team development, and operational performance across a diverse client portfolio. The role combines legal conflicts expertise with strategic leadership, commercial acumen, and a strong focus on service excellence. You will guide teams in managing conflicts research workflows, maintaining quality standards, and resolving complex escalations. As an early leader in a growing practice, you will have the opportunity to shape scalable service models and influence long-term business strategy. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States while collaborating with a distributed team of legal, technology, and operations professionals.

Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, participate in discovery meetings and sales discussions, contribute to proposals and onboarding, and lead ongoing service reviews.
  • Service Delivery and Quality Assurance: Establish consistent delivery standards, quality controls, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics across client engagements. Ensure conflicts research and issue identification meet client expectations, while recognizing that each client retains responsibility for conflict determinations and final clearance decisions.
  • Technology and Process Modernization: Leverage strong knowledge of Intapp Conflicts to optimize workflows, improve platform utilization, and drive operational efficiency. Identify and implement practical automation opportunities for research, triage, and routing, ensuring appropriate testing, oversight, and quality controls.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and develop engagement managers and supervisors. Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and ongoing professional development while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture.
  • Resource Planning and Financial Performance: Coordinate staffing and capacity planning across clients, balancing demand, skill sets, coverage, utilization, and costs. Partner with senior leadership on budgets, forecasts, client economics, and the development of sustainable pricing models.
  • Practice Growth and Strategic Execution: Develop scalable, repeatable operating practices that support business growth while accommodating client-specific requirements. Identify opportunities to expand services, collaborate with leadership and subject-matter experts, and contribute to proposals and business development initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Analyze operational and financial data to identify risks, improve delivery outcomes, and inform business decisions. Monitor turnaround times, client satisfaction, retention, team engagement, utilization, costs, margins, and progress against modernization objectives.
  • Strategic Representation: Represent the conflicts practice across the broader organization and contribute to a measured, multi-year roadmap for service innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
  • Professional Experience: Typically 8 or more years of progressively responsible experience in legal conflicts management within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on proficiency with Intapp Conflicts and a strong understanding of conflicts research, workflow management, complex escalations, and operational best practices.
  • Leadership and People Management: Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and developing teams, improving employee performance, and building effective operating structures.
  • Client Service and Communication: Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to work confidently across different law firm cultures, stakeholder groups, and client environments.
  • Operational Excellence: Proven ability to establish consistent service standards, improve workflows, implement quality controls, and use performance data to drive measurable results.
  • Commercial and Financial Acumen: Understanding of staffing models, capacity planning, forecasting, utilization, cost management, profitability, and service-line economics.
  • Technology and Innovation: Ability to apply technology thoughtfully to modernize legal operations, improve efficiency, and introduce automation while maintaining appropriate oversight and quality standards.
  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance immediate client needs against longer-term operational and business priorities.
  • Builder's Mindset: Adaptability, initiative, and a proactive approach to developing scalable services in a growing and evolving business environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting conflicts operations across multiple law firms; participation in conflicts modernization initiatives, platform implementations, process redesign, or automation projects; and client-facing experience in consulting, legal technology, or another multi-client service environment.
  • Fully Remote Work: Work from anywhere in the United States, with a remote-first working arrangement.
  • Leadership and Career Development: Take on a significant leadership role with the opportunity to shape a growing managed services practice and contribute to its long-term strategy.
  • Innovation and Impact: Influence the modernization of legal conflicts operations through process improvement, technology adoption, and scalable service delivery models.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside professionals across legal technology, strategy, operations, and intelligence in a client-focused environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
