The posting

With six generations of agricultural heritage and a commitment to sustainability through evidence-based practices, Harvest Road Group is proud to produce some of Australia's highest quality food products. We are passionate about delivering premium agricultural food that reflects the best our country has to offer. Today, Harvest Road encompasses the iconic Harvey Beef and Leeuwin Coast brands, supplying a range of exceptional food products to domestic and international markets. Our business is built on innovation, integrity, and a deep connection to the land, and we are committed to continuous improvement in everything we do – from paddock to plate.

About the role

This is a new opportunity to join our Injury Management team and provide physiotherapy services across Harvest Road Group, with a clear focus on injury prevention, early intervention and safe return to work. Rather than waiting for injuries to happen, you’ll help address musculoskeletal risk at the source through screening, treatment, training and ergonomic design.

Based at our Harvey site, you’ll work closely with our Health and Injury Management Coordinator and Group Injury Management Business Partner, contributing to lower lost-time injury rates and claim costs. You’ll also support our Agribusiness and Oceans teams through telehealth and site visits, helping us apply one consistent approach to injury management across every division.

Where you’ll make an impact

  • Pre-employment screening - Complete functional and musculoskeletal assessments against role-specific physical demands, provide clear, defensible fit-for-role recommendations to hiring managers and our People team, and track pre-existing risk trends to inform onboarding and placement.
  • Onsite treatment and early intervention - Treat work-related musculoskeletal complaints within your scope of practice, triage soft-tissue injuries early to prevent escalation to compensable claims, and escalate cases needing external medical management to the Health and Injury Management Coordinator and Group Injury Management Business Partner.
  • Manual handling training - Deliver training to new starters, existing workers and refresher cohorts across all divisions, review high-risk manual handling tasks and recommend control improvements, and coach supervisors and team leaders to reinforce safe technique on the floor.
  • Task Risk Assessments - Assess physically demanding tasks across processing, aquaculture, agribusiness and trades, quantify physical demands (force, frequency, posture and duration), identify practical controls using the hierarchy of control, and record findings in our TRA register and track close-out.
  • Ergonomics - Assess workstations, plant and processes across office and operational settings, recommend practical, cost-effective changes that reduce strain and fatigue, and help our capital project teams build ergonomic principles into new plant and process design.
  • Job Task Dictionaries - Keep our Job Task Dictionaries current as roles, equipment and processes change, and work with People Team so Position Descriptions match them.
  • Reporting - Report to the Group Injury Management Business Partner on caseload, trends and risk indicators across all divisions, contribute physiotherapy data to monthly WHS and People reporting, and maintain clinical records to AHPRA, APA and HRG privacy standards.

What you’ll bring to our team

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Current WA driver’s licence
  • At least 2 years’ full-time experience in a relevant clinical area
  • Demonstrated experience in occupational, musculoskeletal or industrial physiotherapy
  • Experience with pre-employment functional assessments and ergonomic evaluations
  • Sound clinical judgement and confidence making triage and scope-of-practice decisions in an operational environment
  • The ability to explain clinical reasoning in practical terms that operators and supervisors can act on
  • Strong stakeholder skills, with credibility across operations, People & Culture, WHS and external providers
  • Accurate record-keeping and a good eye for data and trends

Highly regarded:

  • Experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, aquaculture or agribusiness
  • Occupational Audiometry Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Workplace Rehabilitation Provider accreditation
  • Manual handling train-the-trainer qualification
  • Familiarity with WorkCover WA processes
  • Experience delivering telehealth or supporting remote and regional sites

Why join us

Based in one of the fastest growing shires in Western Australia, 140kms south of Perth, Harvey offers a relaxed lifestyle in the heart of farmlands and close to beaches:

  • A genuine chance to make a difference, working alongside a supportive Injury Management team in a group that takes safety seriously
  • Variety every week, from the clinic to the processing floor to our farms and coastal operations

  • Competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience
  • Free onsite parking
  • Convenient canteen facilities and close to town
  • Access to Employee Assistance Program
  • Staff Discounts

Our organisation is a dynamic, proudly Western Australian business, and this is a new role where your expertise will shape how we look after our people across the Group. If that appeals to you, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and what draws you to this role.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
