Hatzi Filax Group, on behalf of our client, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with 2–5 years of professional experience to join a forward-thinking accounting team that embraces technology, innovation, and continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone who combines solid accounting knowledge with a digital mindset, enjoys working with modern tools, and is eager to grow in an environment where AI, automation, and technology are part of everyday operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting activities for clients maintaining both single-entry and double-entry books, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of accounting and tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain single-entry and double-entry accounting records.
  • Record, review, and verify daily accounting transactions.
  • Perform customer, supplier, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage and review invoices and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor and reconcile transactions through myDATA.
  • Prepare and support VAT returns and other tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.
  • Communicate with clients regarding accounting and tax-related matters.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to improve workflows and efficiency.
  • Embrace digital tools and automation to simplify everyday accounting processes.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in an accounting department or accounting firm.
  • Hands-on experience with single-entry and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Good understanding of Greek accounting principles and tax procedures.
  • Familiarity with myDATA.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Very good command of MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability.
  • A proactive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Tech-friendly mindset, with an interest in AI, digital tools, and process automation.

Previous experience with AI or automation tools will be considered an advantage, but is not required.
