Hatzi Filax Group, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Accountant (Class A License Holder) to join a modern, forward-thinking accounting firm that combines professional expertise with innovation and technology.

This opportunity is designed for accounting professionals who want to go beyond traditional accounting practices and take the next step in their careers.

We are looking for someone who brings strong technical knowledge, ownership, analytical thinking, and a digital-first mindset.

You will become part of a collaborative environment where AI, automation, and modern digital tools are actively used to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and everyday accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage accounting activities for a portfolio of business clients.
  • Oversee single-entry and double-entry bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, income tax declarations, and other statutory filings.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and accounting reports.
  • Monitor tax obligations and ensure compliance with Greek accounting and tax legislation.
  • Oversee myDATA reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
  • Provide accounting and tax-related guidance to clients.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and optimize accounting workflows.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the development of the accounting team.

Requirements

  • Class A Accountant–Tax Consultant License (Άδεια Λογιστή–Φοροτεχνικού Α' Τάξης) – Required.
  • Proven professional experience in accounting, preferably within an accounting or tax advisory firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Greek tax legislation, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Extensive experience with double-entry bookkeeping and tax compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with myDATA and accounting/ERP software.
  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence in using digital platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • A technology-friendly mindset and genuine interest in AI, automation, and digital transformation.

Experience with AI-powered accounting tools or workflow automation will be considered an advantage.
