We are looking for a Data & AI Governance Specialist to help strengthen how data and AI are governed across HCF. You’ll translate governance policies and standards into practical controls, assessments and workflows, helping teams use data and AI responsibly, securely and with confidence.

Working across business and technology teams, you’ll support trusted data foundations, assess data and AI risks, and contribute to the ongoing maturity of HCF’s Data and AI Governance capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain key data governance artefacts, including data domains, critical data elements, glossary, metadata, data quality rules and lineage.
  • Support data quality controls and monitoring across systems, platforms and analytics.
  • Conduct data impact and AI risk assessments, identifying controls, ownership, evidence and monitoring requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor data and AI risks, issues, treatments and the AI Asset Register.
  • Support governance tools, workflows and reporting, including opportunities to use Generative AI for automation and efficiency.
  • Prepare assurance evidence and governance reporting, and support remediation of identified risks or control gaps.
  • Provide guidance and training to Data Owners, Stewards and AI Owners on governance and risk management.
  • Partner with architecture, cyber, privacy, legal, risk, procurement and delivery teams to translate complex requirements into practical recommendations.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience across data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, risk or compliance.
  • Knowledge of data lifecycle management, privacy, security and responsible AI.
  • Experience developing governance artefacts, conducting assessments and recommending practical controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex or emerging data and AI risks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex requirements into clear actions.
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare or another regulated environment.
  • Experience preparing governance, assurance, audit or regulatory evidence.
  • Tertiary qualifications in data, technology, business, risk, law or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms, data products, MDM, third-party assessments or governance tools is desirable but not essential.

Why join HCF?

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of data, AI, risk and governance, helping HCF strengthen trusted data foundations while enabling the responsible adoption of AI. You’ll work with diverse stakeholders across the organisation, influence governance practices and contribute to continuous improvement and automation.

If you are passionate about trusted data, responsible AI and practical governance, we would love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
