The posting

Our client is an Insurtech Company operating an embedded insurance distribution platform. Below are the primary responsibilities of the role:

Role: CEO

Location: Singapore

Brief:

The CEO will be overall responsible for the company's reinsurance broking business and formulating strategies for the expansion. The CEO has to work with the Board and shareholders on strategic roadmaps in every aspect of the business including regulatory compliance matters. The CEO will be expected to lead the company to achieve all goals within set timelines. Main Responsibilities

  • The leadership and management of reinsurance broking business including development of team, business production, risk placements, client servicing and associated functions.
  • To develop strategic production and development plans for the Company, including the identification of new business opportunities and the planning and development of new initiatives.
  • To promote and ensure compliance with the Companys Rules and Procedures and other management instructions.

Regulatory Responsibilities / Knowledge Required

  • To be familiar with the regulatory obligations imposed by Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
  • To ensure you are trained and competent to perform your duties to the required standard and in compliance with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations.
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of general reinsurance and the underlying legal principles.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills

  • Minimum 5 years experience in (re)insurance broking industry is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Well-developed Leadership and Management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain profitable long-term relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation, influencing skills, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
