The posting

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist executes enterprise strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple spend categories, translating category sourcing strategies into disciplined, competitive sourcing events that deliver measurable commercial value. The role manages RFx execution, supplier engagement, proposal analysis, evaluation coordination, sourcing documentation, and commercial support while ensuring sourcing activities are completed efficiently, consistently, and in accordance with enterprise procurement standards. Working within the Procurement Operations Hub, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist partners closely with Category Management, Vendor Management, the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE), Legal, Finance, Compliance, and business stakeholders. The role leverages market intelligence, digital sourcing tools, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve sourcing speed, transparency, competition, and decision quality while maintaining clear accountability: Category Management owns category and commercial strategy, and the Strategic Sourcing Specialist leads disciplined sourcing execution in support of that strategy.

  • Manage sourcing events from launch through evaluation and recommendation, ensuring fairness, transparency, competition, and adherence to established procurement methodologies.
  • Coordinate supplier questions, proposal submissions, presentations, clarification sessions, and evaluation activities throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
  • Partner with Category Managers to ensure sourcing execution remains aligned with business objectives, commercial strategy, risk requirements, and desired business outcomes.

Commercial Analysis & Supplier Evaluation

  • Analyze supplier proposals, pricing submissions, commercial terms, service models, and evaluation results to support objective supplier selection decisions.
  • Develop bid comparison models, total cost analyses, pricing summaries, scenario comparisons, and commercial evaluation materials that clearly identify value opportunities and tradeoffs.
  • Support Category Management in identifying commercial risks, negotiation opportunities, supplier dependencies, and potential value levers.
  • Prepare sourcing recommendations and supporting analyses for stakeholder and leadership review in accordance with procurement governance requirements.
  • Coordinate supplier due diligence and required risk inputs with appropriate enterprise stakeholders before recommendation and award.

Market Intelligence & Sourcing Insights

  • Conduct supplier market research to identify qualified suppliers, emerging providers, competitive alternatives, and relevant market developments.
  • Develop supplier profiles, capability assessments, market scans, and benchmarking inputs that strengthen sourcing strategies and commercial negotiations.
  • Partner with the Procurement Intelligence Analyst to leverage spend analytics, pricing intelligence, supplier data, and market insights throughout sourcing engagements.
  • Monitor supplier markets, pricing trends, technology developments, and sourcing practices that may create opportunities for increased competition, innovation, or value.
  • Document and share sourcing insights and lessons learned to improve future sourcing strategies and enterprise procurement knowledge.

Sourcing Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate cross-functional sourcing teams involving Category Management, business stakeholders, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Information Technology, Risk, and other subject matter experts as required.
  • Establish sourcing project plans, milestones, responsibilities, evaluation schedules, and decision points and proactively manage progress through completion.
  • Facilitate supplier presentations, evaluation workshops, sourcing meetings, and decision sessions while maintaining clear documentation of outcomes and next steps.
  • Provide sourcing guidance to business stakeholders and promote consistent use of enterprise sourcing processes, templates, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Escalate material sourcing risks, delays, supplier issues, or governance concerns to Category Management and Procurement Operations leadership.

Digital Sourcing & Process Excellence

  • Use enterprise sourcing platforms, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled procurement capabilities to improve sourcing efficiency, consistency, and decision quality.
  • Partner with the Procurement Digital Transformation Lead to implement digital sourcing workflows, automated event administration, supplier communications, evaluation support, and sourcing analytics.
  • Identify repetitive sourcing activities, documentation requirements, and workflow steps suitable for automation or standardization.
  • Support testing, adoption, and continuous improvement of digital sourcing tools and enterprise procurement technologies.
  • Continuously improve sourcing templates, playbooks, evaluation methodologies, workflows, and stakeholder experience through data-driven process improvement.

Governance, Documentation & Transition

  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with enterprise procurement policies, delegated authority, sourcing standards, and applicable governance requirements.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready sourcing records, including supplier communications, proposals, evaluations, approvals, recommendations, and decision documentation.
  • Coordinate sourcing-to-contract and sourcing-to-onboarding transitions with Category Management, Legal, Procurement Operations, Vendor Management, and business stakeholders.
  • Support contract negotiation preparation by organizing commercial inputs, supplier commitments, evaluation outcomes, and sourcing documentation required for contracting.
  • Promote consistent sourcing governance, documentation quality, and procurement best practices across enterprise sourcing engagements.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
